I remember how God provided our house for us back in aournd December 1990. At the time with our bad credit and low income, no banks in their right minds would give us a home loan. My therapist (a guy) told me we should put my husband's disability backpay, which was not a large amount, into a real estate since he had seen how his patients lost their backpay money quickly (spending it). God guided us in searching for a trailer or a house. I could see how he closed doors we were going to enter in in the process of checking which place to buy and led us to our house that was owned by my boss who wanted the $4,000 down payment that we had. She sold the house to us on land contract. It is a small cheap house in up-to-code condition. We still have this house today because God helped us with the expenses for keeping the house. I wish I had gotten us out from the credit card debts trap long time ago but there is no way to go back in time to redo it. Today we are on a path that won't be a pleasant smooth experience financially for us but God has been taking care of us. There were time, a long period of time, in the past when I asked God whether He intended to have us live in poverty forever. It looked like that was His plan for us. I was very miserable. It was no fun to not have basic needs met. We however many years later went from that condition to having our basic needs met. As I was writing this, a verse about God's material comfort blessing came in my mind and I found this in AI:

"Provision and Stewardship: Many believers read scriptures like 1 Timothy 6:17 as evidence that God generously provides for enjoyment, requiring believers to act as faithful stewards by sharing and doing good works."

1 Timothy 5:17

"Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment."

I was thinking about the part that says "God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment." He does provide things for me to enjoy to keep my sanity.
