trust in the lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understading there are hundreds of verses that teach us to trust in God, our God is trustworthy.

"thou will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is stayed on thee because he trust in thee."

Its like a prescription for peace, if my peace is not perfect, it is because my focus is not on God, because i am not trusting God. Our focus needs to be on our God, so we do not go astray.

You mentioned "Abram," which made me think again about the present Muslim/Israeli war I have been following closely. It seems that there was no way for anyone to stop the conflicts between the two groups (nations) and this present war between them will continue only God knows for how long, I guess till both sides lose a lot of eyes and teeth. I have concluded that it is not God's will that the war started and went on but He knew it will and let it go on. I don't mean it in a negative sense when I say God lets the war go on. It has to do more with the free will He gives to humans to choose to do good or evil. I am thankful I am not fighting with anyone at the moment. I almost got myself into an increased nasty dispute with my neighbor over a cat that could lead to a "war" that can result in me getting attacked by the other party and their families and friends for their revenge if I hurt them. The ongoing war between Muslim and Israel helped me see the danger that would come upon me and my family if I didn't give in.

Oh, I remember about the cat. I know you were disappointed to find out that the little cat you took in was your neighbor's and that they were looking for it. I'm glad you didn't get into a neighbor war with them about it and you are moving forward. How are the kitties you have now doing?

I don't know how to talk about the Israel-Hamas war. This latest escalation was clearly caused by Hamas, but the entire conflict is at least generations old. The narrative we're being fed is that Israélites came back there after World War 2 and took land that the Palestinians were on and that started the conflict. But I've also been told that there have been at least some Jewish people living there since the return from Babylon (before Jesus). So, it's not as simple as they want us to think. Sigh.

I miss the cat but feel that God must want him to go back to the previous owner for the time being. I will take him back in a heartbeat if he somehow finds his way to our house again. It was not clear to me whether that was what he tried to do - escaping from that house to come back to us. He was underweight and depressed and sad when I found him in our backyard. I wanted to take him back immediately to his previous owner's house but he wouldn't let me hold him, and I ended up taking him inside our house and quickly headed to ER where I was going for my eye problem. He was with us for about a month before I had to let him go back to the previous owner again. I had prayed to God that if it is best for the cat to be with us, I pray that He will make the previous owner willing to let him be with us, and God didn't do that. Our four cats are doing well. It is best for cats to live indoors 24/7 but a lot of cat owners let their cats go in and out, and that is how some get lost. I know there are not many homes that can take cats in to stay inside the house 24/7. Those who can have cats that live up to 20 years. I am staying away from trying to rescue stray or feral cats around our house for now so my two neighbors will not attack me for messing with the way they treat their cats. I never told them I thought they are doing it wrong and don't think I will because I don't want to offend them or get in conflict with them. They don't know what they are doing to these cats and don't care how long these poor cats can live under that kind of circumstances.

I happened to see a youtube clip today about a son of Hamas who turned to the Christian faith. He refers to Allah as Muslims' God which surprises me since I always thought Christian and Jews and Muslims worship the same God. I think I know what the man means. Muslims worship the same God as Christians' God and Jews' God but their idea of God is wrong. I would think that this man knows Allah and the Christian God are the same person. I was very impressed to hear what the man said about Jesus and his conversion to Christianity. Here's the clip I am talking about.

I am doing fine except for the pain in my shoulder and upper arm on the left side that acted up two weeks ago. I have been given steroid pills to take for four days and still have five more pills to go. I hope they help. I hope you are doing well yourself.

I'm glad you are mostly doing well, I will pray for the meds to resolve your shoulder pain.

I hadn't heard that before about cats, that they do better inside 24/7. We had cats when I was a teenager, and I think ours liked to play outside part of the day, but maybe people with more space in their homes see their cats behaving differently.

We are doing ok mostly. My son has had a cold for a week or 2 now. I tested him for COVID, but it was negative. I tried to keep him isolated from other household members, and I wear a mask, but other people have mild versions of his cold now. I had one too, but I take over the counter products too shorten the cold, I give them to my son too but they don't help him as much because I didn't notice when he first had it - I thought it was allergies. But hopefully everyone will be improving soon.

Beryl - I wrote a long reply but hit a wrong button and lost the whole thing. I was saying outdoor cats are not safe these days living outside part-time outdoors or 24/7 outdoors because there are all kinds of dangers around. And I think it is not God's will that humans use violence against each other but He let them choose to do good or evil. As to the "wars," I have mixed feelings about whether what they call the "just wars" is what Jesus supports today. It does not sound like it. I think the world is in a mess because every human is a sinner from birth. Some are less violent than others but are capable of sining, me including unfortunately. I think I am following this crazy war too close. I should just pray that it will end quickly and let it be.
