Mentally healthy sermon series #4 Suicidal tendencies
I ll but a trigger warning on this one just because I can't watch it without crying.
This one hits home for me...... because it IS me.
It's really true that just having that one person to actually talk to openly with out fear out judgement is an absolute game changer from hopeless to hope and the ability to survive the day. The simplest "good morning" or "good night sweet dreams" message is that candle in the darkness that gives one such as myself the courage to keep moving forward and not give in to the darkness.

Suicidal thoughts have many causes. Most often, suicidal thoughts are the result of feeling like you can't cope when you're faced with what seems to be an overwhelming life situation. If you don't have hope for the future, you may mistakenly think suicide is a solution. You may experience a sort of tunnel vision, where in the middle of a crisis you believe suicide is the only way out.
There also may be a genetic link to suicide. People who complete suicide or who have suicidal thoughts or behavior are more likely to have a family history of suicide."

I am the only one of the 4 of us to attempt and fail however I am also the only Christ follower amongst us. Which leads to my personal belief that God protects me from myself sometimes.
