I know, right, we know obedience is key, by how obedient are we really? Well, it's a blessing that God is better to us than we deserve.

There are believers who believe they don't have to obey the Ten Commandments. They said it will mean we are saved by keeping the laws or being good. I don't know what they think obedience to God means.

I think that's related to the fact that lots of churches focus on conversion (which is awesome) and aren't strong enough in discipleship - so that people misunderstand "walking in the Spirit" (living ones life at God's direction) with "the opposite of the law" and don't realize that God's direction (thru the Spirit) will never cause us to violate God's law.

"Immoral" Christians dishonor God. The Bible teaches believers faith in God and how to treat others and what are good and bad behaviors.. I think when we obey the instructions in the Bible, we obey God ('s words). There are Christians who don't take Bible's teaching seriously.

We had a very hectic day last Saturday when my husband had one of his usual episodes of severe stomach aches that caused him to be weak and fall from the toilet to the bathroom floor.. This time we had to have some firemen break off the door to get him out. The door was not locked but my husband's body laid against it in the tight space of the bathroom. This was the first time we had to break the door, and I put a homemade curtain at the door instead of putting the door back on. We were thankful my husband was conscious and didn't hit his head on anything..

The clinic where I was supposed to start the physical therapy for my hip arthritis tomorrow called to reschedule the appointment to June 1. I hope I won't have to have surgery. Please pray for God's healing for me. My daughter got her driving learning permit renewed last Thursday. As soon as she and I have energy, she will be able to practice driving. It is going to take a long time for her to get the driver's license because she is a nervous driver (learner) and still feels sick from the overactive gallbladder situation. She knows how to steer the wheels and drive on the roads but it has been about two years since she practiced driving last. I am going to have to take her to drive on some big parking lot and go on low traffic roads. Please pray that God will keep me and her safe when we go out to drive. I am praying for everyone in the group. I hope you and your son are doing well.

Oh, and I'll pray about your hip and the physical therapy as well, That you won't need surgery. And the PT goes well.

My physical therapy was rescheduled to June 1 because they didn't have enough workers that day. Thanks for praying for us, and thank you for accepting my friend request. Strange how it took two years before we got on each other's list of friends! About knowing a foreign language, besides the Thai language which is my mother tongue I studied German for six years in high school and college in Thailand and refreshed it a little bit at the Community College in the U.S. I found some short cassette tapes in the house a few days ago and will listen to them when I am not busy. They come with a booklet. I read in your journals that you know Spanish and French. I have not written journals at DS except for two that I deleted. I am glad the group is still active even though slow.

Well, about the languages, I don't think I so much know Spanish and French as it's that I'm studying them, and I've studied them before- over 10 years ago for Spanish and over 35 years ago for french, but I'm reviewing and trying to learn more of both, but I' don't think I'm to the point where I could have conversations in either one yet.

I wish you well with the German though. There's great benefit in learning other languages and cultures.
