My reply to Lefwing 's "over=generalizing??"

1 John 4:16 says

"God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment, because in this world we are like him. There is no fear in love."

I think it means love is part of who God is, meaning He is a loving God. I would disagree with "Love is God."

I got the "500  server Internal error" when I tried to get into the "God Is Everywhere" post and couldn't get in to see the post. Have been getting this a lot lately.

By the way, do you know how Marlene is doing? I hope you have been doing well yourself.


(I wrote this reply at the post and the reply went through but when I went to click at the post, I got the "500 Internal Werver Error" so I put my reply in this new post". Still have no idea why I kept getting this error.

ok, God is love has been made very clear.
I still feel weird about the wedding and what has occurred after the wedding
I feel like the husband is more overt about getting too into zombies or whatever he does. I think it's the opposite direction of Christianity.
If my daughter condemns it, it has to be bad. It takes a lot for her to be outraged.

They probably would; have to pay a priest or pastor to perform the wedding ceremony and decided not to do it (didn't want to pay) and might feel it was not necessary to have a priest or pastor to do it? From what I know, a judge can do it. I saw an old movie that had a sheriff perform the ceremony with a few witnesses. Most believers will feel the ceremony is not complete without a priest since it has been a tradition. At least your niece and the groom had the wedding in front of witnesses. As I said, some people may view it as an incomplete wedding. Whether they thought they did it in front of God, I don't know.

I gotta be careful to judge. Yes, people can be too poor to pay a priest, pastor or ministerr. Yes, it's good that they had a wedding. They wrote their own vows and my nieces vow was amazing.
But I honestly don't think that God has much of a role in their lives and that's why they didn't have a minister. . Worse, I am concerned that they glorify the sinister and worse maybe devils.. Let's pray they don't but the signs are there.
