I don't think it is wrong. What water baptism is is our public declaration of our faith in Christ. I was baptized in water six months after I accepted Jesus. I was 20 years old at the time and knew what it meant and don't feel there is no need for a second baptism. You were young when you got baptized. There are many Christians who got baptized the second time when they got older.

I hope you are doing fine. Good to see you. I just went through some high stress and anxiety and am slowly settling down. I will post more later. I hope everyone is doing well.

Don’t feel bad for the many baptismal acts of faith.

If it helps any I was born into the Roman Catholic Church and was baptized as a baby and by the Grace of God hold Godparent’s…. Then I became a born again Christian at the age of 13 and got baptized at a Christian Community Organization.

Then later in life I chose to become a Baptized member of the LatterDay Church of Jesus Christ.

Nothing bad all is done in good faith.

Your showing your belief in God must make God smile. It is a beautiful thing.

No human can really tell you for certain exactly how God wants you to do a thing. You can read your Bible or books from your church denomination or look online to get information, talk with your pastor or a youth leader about your questions, and you can go somewhere quiet and ask God to help you find the answers God wants for you. Some pastors will share with you that God or the Bible has exactly the same answer for anyone who has a question they ask God, and some will tell you that sometimes the answers aren't really that clear. I don't know.

BUT

Jesus was Jewish and in the history of His people and church, they were given the ten broad rules for living which you know as the Ten Commandments, and over time, their leaders thought those rules through and tried to explain them in detail for all the situations they could think of ---just to make it all clear---and they added all those rules to what was expected by humans in Jewish faith and reached something close to 722 rules.

Jesus knew all those rules and followed them in his life, but He made things much easier for us to understand. Jesus said that there are two things you can do that will meet any need to do what God wants us to do. 1. God loves you and wants your love, and 2. God wants you to love other people as much as you love yourself and take care of other people.

Some churches believe that baptism is a part of being "saved" and is a piece of following God that allows you to be saved, and other church denominations believe that baptism is an opportunity to act out the steps of having your old life buried and being brought into a new life with Jesus.

I grew up trying to love God but being kind of afraid of accidentally (or on purpose) breaking rules and not pleasing God or Jesus. I was a loving person, but all that really made me anxious that I would sin continuously and mess us any chance to be ok with God. Now I am old, and still want to please God, but believe that God wants more for me but is DELIGHTED with me wanting to love God and others even if I don't get every detail of that right according to how I or other humans see that.

For sure, per Confessionsoraqueen, "nothing bad all is done in good faith."!

Quillium and confessionsofaqueen, I am glad you joined in the conversations, and welcome to the group. I am not sure you both officially joined the group or not.

I think God looks at our intention when we (believers) don't follow His teachings perfectly. We sometimes unintentionally displease God with our conduct but God knows whether we seek to be obedient and faithful to Him. Humans may desert us but God will not as long as we are true to Him and seeking Him in prayers.
