The singer of Auld Lang Syne in this video is NGOC LAN - (1956-2001). She grew up in Vietnam and was queen of the pop music there. She moved to America in 1980. She died in the year 2001, at Huntington beach, California."
I was curious about the ending of the movie "Waterloo Bridge" and googled it to find that the ending is very sad. I don't know why this song is a New Year Eve song. Here's the article that tells about the story plot.
