God's Love Calms Me
For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.
O my soul, why are you so overwrought? Why are you so disturbed? Why can't I just hope in God? Despite all my emotions, I will hope in God again. I will believe and praise the One who saves me and is my life, My Savior and my God.
There is a sure way for us to know that we belong to the truth. Even though our inner thoughts may condemn us with storms of guilt and constant reminders of our failures, we can know in our hearts that in His presence God Himself is greater than any accusation. He knows all things. [21] My loved ones, if our hearts cannot condemn us, then we can stand with confidence before God.
Dear young friends, you belong to God and have already won your fight with those who are against Christ because there is someone in your hearts who is stronger than any evil teacher in this wicked world. [18] We need have no fear of someone who loves us perfectly; his perfect love for us eliminates all dread of what he might do to us. If we are afraid, it is for fear of what he might do to us and shows that we are not fully convinced that he really loves us.
These things add up. Every one of us needs to pray; when all hell breaks loose and the dam bursts we'll be on high ground, untouched.
Never worry about anything. But in every situation let God know what you need in prayers and requests while giving thanks. [7] Then God's peace, which goes beyond anything we can imagine, will guard your thoughts and emotions through Christ Jesus.

According to His riches in glory refers to a biblical promise found in Philippians 4:19, which states that God will supply all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus. This verse emphasizes God's provision and generosity towards believers.

I'm sorry you got scammed. $58 can be a lot of money for someone on a fixed income. I wonder do you suppose we're allowed to pray that God will bless the money that they took from you and only allow it to be spent on Godly things and not give the scammers any rest until they repent of their wrongdoing? Ooh, and that He would be merciful to them and provide them with honest jobs to supply their and their families' needs?
( It's so hard to deal with financial calls these days. Just this week my family member was on a financial call, but the return phone number didn't match what I remembered of the institution's number so I hung up on them. Only to call back and find out the call head legitimate.). :(
Anyway, I'll be praying for your sinus infection to heal up soon, and I'm glad you guys are otherwise normal..
I've heard a common characteristic of scams are when they either (1) tell you you've won something you never entered a drawing for, or (2) they say you've won something but you have to pay a smaller amount to get the prize, or sometimes both. Those are both red flags that suggest something is a scam. That's so bad! I wish there was a way for the police to track down scammers and arrest then. Unfortunately, I think there's usually not much they can do.
It's easy to be mad at them since they did bad, but leave the vengeance to God, He's better at it than we could ever be.
Don't be too mad at yourself, it's hard to be lied to, when you're an honest person and wouldn't do that to someone else, it's harder to see it coming.
Wishing you peace and blessings.
I got a letter from the credit card company today saying they refunded the $58 that the scammer took from my husband's credit card. I fought very hard to get this money back and was told by the person who is in charge of the credit card department that they would not do anything even though they agreed that it was a fraud. Their reason was that I gave the card number to the scammer.
(The dispute was filed on January 5). I spoke to different workers in their dispute department and the credit card department and after the last person in the credit card department told me on March 16 that they would not help refund the money, I had about 5% hope left that it could turn around, that one of the other persons I spoke to might do the refund.
Eight days later as was shown in the letter I received today the amount was refunded. I had closed the account because of my disappointment with them and wonder whether that could be the reason why they changed their mind or it could be that a different person who handled the case was able to do the refund. Whatever the case is, I am so happy we did get the money back. I think it is possible that this credit card company does not have good protection against fraud cases and is a new company that started the credit card part. Their name is OneMain (Financial Brightway). I am not sure whether other credit card companies would have handled this situation differently or not. As I mentioned earlier, the scammer deceived me into thinking that I won a $500 Walmart gift card and wanted my credit card number so they could charge an unstated amount of shipping and handling on it. I should have known right there that it was a scam but they did it so wisely that people like me will fall into their trap.
At one point, I was deceived and gave my bank account numbers and my driver's license number (online) to a scammer, and they went into the two bank accounts and got the third bank that was tied to the other two banks to charge $4,000 withdraw even though there was no money to be withdrawn in the third account. Luckily for us, the scammer's bank is in I believe India so it took more than just a few hours for the money to travel from U.S. to India. The $4,000 was still pending when I was aware of it the next day, and we were able to have the third bank stop the payment. It was scary how they could take money from our account that had no money for them to take. And it was scary how I kept getting into the traps of these scammers three times within one year. One of the three times was when I made an online purchase from a fake company and almost couldn't get money back but thank God I did get the money back after chasing it persistently (talking to different persons in the back and Paypal) like what I did with the $58 from a different scammer. So please be careful of scammers online and anywhere.
