We just got a new (used) desktop to replace the old one that got extremely slow. After using this computer that we bought from an ebay seller for a few days, the headphone couldn't connect to the computer. In the process of trying to repair the problem, my daughter busted the whole system while downloading an update. The computer crashed. We at first thought about returning the computer to the ebay seller to get a refund but were worried about the seller possibly telling us we broke it. It was a real mess. My daughter searched on google about how to possibly repair the problem and found a method and we bought a flash drive (a tiny stick that is used to download software) that costs about $13 and were able to fix the problem. Thank God for saving us from being stuck with a broken desktop. My daughter also found out that Dell computer, which is what we have, has problem of the system crashing when new updates are being downloaded and the computers may or may not be able to recover. After my daughter got the desktop to function again, the headphone problem is also fixed.
