I will say that heaven will be much better than what we have now. So, I don't really think often about whether there will be cats, or any other specific animal or thing. I just know that God will make sure we have everything we need for it to be way better than awesome.

I do think the article did a good job of summarizing what the two sides probably think. Although if I'm honest I think there are probably mistakes on both sides. But, we (all) will have everything we need to be very happy in heaven.

Thank you for your reply to this post. I actually have not thought much about what it is going to be like in heaven which does not mean I don't believe it exists. A lot of time, my idea of heaven is just to get out of this world and no longer feel sorrow and pain. It is sort of like not having to wake up again.

The past few weeks have been "hells" for me. First of all, my orange feral pal has definitely died for real. I didn't see him the minute he took his last breath but know he is gone, and I have been grieving and wishing the pain would fade away. It was a traumatic experience to witness his harsh life and the feeling that I failed to rescue him. The worst part is I miss him so much.

Another "hell" has to do with me running like a chicken with no head throwing things out in the dumpster that the guy from the adult protective service gave us. For two weeks straight, it was like a marathon running to save our house and us from having to be stuck in some places that are not our own homes. Today I called the guy again to ask him whether and when he will send us a second dumpster since I filled up the first one that got picked up by the dumpster company last Friday. There is still a lot to do. I don't know why he has not picked up the phone since Friday. It is impossible to get our house to be how he wants it to be without the second dumpster. He could just leave us alone from this point and let us throw out the rest that should be thrown out at our own time and pace but I have the feeling he is not going to do that. He told me we are not going to lose our house and that he saw how serious I was in getting it cleaned out with the proof of the first dumpster being filled up. I feel like being put in a concentration camp. I told him I am 68 years old. He said he is 66. He sounded nice the last time he came to check the progress but said we still had a long way to go.

This dumpster costs $300 a week, no kidding. My daughter's therapist warned us that we have to be clear about what the guy expects before the 30 days are up. She said once it passes 30 days, they won't give an extension, and she said by default when they intend to take people's homes when they do this which is why I have been very upset with those mean people in the senior resources program who told us they were going to provide a dumpster and send people to help throw things out and after five days turned around putting us to be at risk of losing our home. The main problem is I am doing this decluttering (cleaning out as the guy puts it) by myself with minimal help from my daughter since she is having trouble with her overactive gall bladder problem and is weak. My husband is not able to help even though he wants to.

Where I am at this point with this concentration camp type of work is I plan to throw out the junk in the basement so I can move some things from the first floor down there. I am glad so far no one is standing over my head telling me what I can and cannot keep. The guy just told me how wide he expects the paths to be which will take a lot of work and time. I don't think anyone should expect me to just close my eyes and toss out everything. I am kind of nervous about why the guy has not got back to me yet about the second dumpster that he told me we can have. I wonder whether something has happened to him or if he is just very busy telling sick old people to clean out their houses and try to take their homes. My daughter's therapist thinks I should get a therapist which will make it harder or impossible for these people to take our house. I told my daughter a therapist is not going to do me any good right now. What needs to be done is to throw out things as fast and as much as we can. Finding a therapist and talking to one at this point will only slow me down. Please pray for us. It has been "hell" since my body has been tortured severely because of the dateline. Please pray that this guy will not aim to take our house but will give us an extension of the dateline if we need it. It is like I am demolishing some parts of our living room and rebuilding (reorganizing) it. I may have to pay someone to help drag the junk in the basement up to throw out if my body can't handle it anymore.

How have you been doing yourself? I hope you and everyone in the group are doing well.

Wow! I would keep calling or emailing the guy, reminding him that you're working on it even though the help he promised hasn't been available. Keep asking for a new dumpster.

I'll sure be praying for you all. Do you belong to a church or community group that can help you out? Maybe with some young(er) volunteers? They could do whatever you say., So you'd be in charge, but maybe they could do the heavy lifting.

I'm sorry you feel like your feral cat friend has died. But, you did TRY to help it the best you could. Maybe your efforts gave him some moments of relief from the harshness.

We are still having the same struggles here with getting employees. And, now, the provider who prescribes my son's meds for agitation has stopped responding to refill requests but hasn't contacted us to tell us what's up yet. I've called 3 times and left 2 messages. He'll run out of one soon. I have never had this problem with them before. So, tomorrow or the next day I'll have to try to contact someone else. Sigh.

But we are mostly fine for now.

I have been grieving the feral cat's death and miss him. When I read the opinion about cats going to heaven after their death, it helps me feel a little bit better. I regret not being able to get him to live on our porch during the winter time but it was impossible to do it since he was afraid of humans. I feel I left him to die out there. Watching him struggle through the whole summer last year and the long winter was a very traumatic experience for me since I have been dealing with cats that were and are all our house cats for thirty years some of which died inside our house and two were put to sleep at 13 and 17 years old. They are like humans and better than humans in that they love you no matter what.

Our house has a lot of stuff which accumulated through thirty years period of time. I reorganized them when they piled up chaotically but since almost nothing got thrown out, our space got smaller and smaller. I don't throw food or garbage into the piles like in the hoarders' show on TV. It looks more like the hoarders (on TV) that have a lot of stuff that takes up space but with no damaged walls or dead animals inside the house. The guy can actually let us take time to continue the decluttering without putting a dateline on it but it may not be how it works. To get it to how he wants it to be, I will need a second dumpster and more than just thirty days. I should be able to find someone to help drag heavy items which are not many if I need help or do it myself and hope to not get injured in the process to save money. I need to get hold of the guy to find out whether he has changed his mind about the second dumpster so I will know how to deal with the garbage. I can't leave a lot of bags on the front lawn for many days, and without the dumpster, it takes longer time to do the work. Please pray that the guy will be willing to give us more than the thirty days and that I will be able to go on without collapsing. I think most likely they guy will give us the second dumpster and wants the house to have a lot more space than it does now. He wrote on his short note "No one can get out of the house in case of emergency." He is partially right but we are able to walk in and out of the house. A stranger might now be able to since they don't know their way around. To throw us out of our house over this is plain evil since there is no emergency right now. I, however, am not arguing about the possible troubles and harm that can happen if the clutter is not taken care of. The decluttering should have been done a long time ago but I never had the energy and time to get it moving and getting a dumpster never came across my mind since it costs a lot of money.

So glad that you got through to the man's supervisor and found out that he's just on vacation, and will be back soon. I hope you get your second dumpster soon and some people to help you load it.

I got the medicine thing worked out, they didn't tell me what happened but the person from the office called me today to say that they had sent refills over and I called the pharmacy and verified that it's true, so we're going to be fine on that.

And yes, you're right, the "employees" are caregivers for my son so I can work outside the house.

I hope you know that God is aware of your situation and is working. Based on your update it sounds like the man's supervisor says that they're not really interested in taking people's houses, (not that they never do, just that they can help you avoid that).

No matter what happens God will be with you. I will keep praying for you and your family.
