I must have missed this post. This is a favourite of mine it's from Psalm 51, when David was sorrowful for murdering the lhusband of Bathsheba (Uriah the Hittite!) plus sleeping with her when her husband was alive, and on the front lines of the war!

We can all learn valuable lessons from this song/Bible passage. We need to acknowledge our guilt and bow before the Lord. Then we need to confess our sins. And repent. We all sin. There is no one who does not! Plus. it is also a beautiful song! I used to listen to Keith Green's version a lot!

This is Keith Green's version. Yours was a beautiful arrangement. I liked the earth the way they changed the chords from major to minor in some places.

I am wondering whether David's sorrow and feeling of guilt happened before or after the prophet confronted him. I have to go back to read that part. In the story, it seemed that he was tempted and yielded to his fleshly desire. After he committed the first sin (adultery), he covered it up by getting the woman's husband to come home from the war just so it would appear that the husband was the one who got the woman, then he ended up sending him to the front line in the war zone knowing the man would be killed. I can't remember whether the woman was to be blamed as well for what happened (David's adultery and murder). Someone said this sin that David committed started while he had too much leisure time. God forgave him but he suffered the consequences (of having many wives). By the way, I think Solomon was this woman's son from David?

I mean David got the woman's husband back from the war zone so it would look like she got pregnant by him, not by David. I can't remember whether at that point David knew the woman was pregnant.
