Ezekiel 28:13–15 New International Bible
13 You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone adorned you: carnelian, chrysolite and emerald, topaz, onyx and jasper, lapis lazuli, turquoise and beryl.Your settings and mountings were made of gold; on the day you were created they were prepared. 14 You were anointed as a guardian cherub, for so I ordained you. You were on the holy mount of God; you walked among the fiery stones. 15 You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created till wickedness was found in you. 16 Through your widespread trade you were filled with violence, and you sinned*. So I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God, and I expelled you, guardian cherub, from among the fiery stones.
- I recently have been obsessed with the subject of evil and good, unfortunately not in a positive way. I feel lucky that my mind can still pray, and my fingers can still type the prayer journals. What I have found difficult to do is reading the Bible regularly. Luckily (again), I receive short Bible verses daily through this group called "Plough." I am now trying to focus on the fact that I can still feel God's presence when I call on Him. Thinking too much about why God created everything the way He did and why He added humans' suffering and pain in his creation only brings me negative thoughts about Him. I am not interested in turning away from God at any time. I have no better place to turn to so I am staying where I have been and am asking God to help me to feel happier again. He has been taking care of us. I can't argue about that. Thank you God for not letting go of me.

Believe in the light while you have the light, so that you may become children of light. John 12:36, NIV

According to His riches in glory refers to a biblical promise found in Philippians 4:19, which states that God will supply all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus. This verse emphasizes God's provision and generosity towards believers.

You said that you are having trouble reading the Bible. What about YouTube or audio Bibles? YouTube has some videos that summarize Bible books, I was just watching a short one about the book of Job ( https://youtu.be/xQwnH8th_fs?si=nZdApHFk2I4rQ02c
).
Also, remember Bible Gateway has audio Bibles where you can listen rather than having to read
Above all also remember that God is good and His ways are higher than ours.. He is just better and more knowledgeable than us at everything., and He will never leave us.
God didn't add human suffering and pain to His creation, humans added that by rebelling against Him.. And, yes, He knew we would and He allowed it. It's important for us to know that we cannot save ourselves and we need Him. That's why we need Him.
I know I recommended a YouTube video. I think the ones from The Bible Project are pretty good, but be careful, not all YouTube videos are good - even not all the ones about the Bible, it depends on which group made them.
I'm praying for you and your family. I hope you are doing well.
And thank you for your encouragement. I bought a small talking Bible machine for my husband but it has not been used except for once. My husband, however, to my surprise, has been defending for God. He said even though a lot of things in the human world are not perfect, God gave humans the ability to build things to make human life liveable and safer. I have been thinking God's Holy Spirit could be guiding his thoughts from the day he started to believe which was not long ago. He is familiar with the Bible since he had to attend church as a young child while living with his foster parents. The foster father was a preacher. My husband accepted Jesus when he was 19 but he said the Bible didn't do anything for him, and he had very negative feelings towards Christians but liked Jesus. He started just very recently asking me questions about Bible verses. And here I am feeling I am turning into an Anti-Christ because of some atheists' opinions about God and the Bible. I never doubted God when I first accepted Jesus at 20. There were times when I felt I didn't want to be part of the human world (life) but the Bible always made sense to me. I think I have been freaking out because of many stresses that I went through since February with the car going dead, the refrigerator also dead, and the toilet breaking. The toilet is fine now but I am still making paths for a new refrigerator which stresses me out. Our house is small, and there are many small items I want to keep with little space to put them at. The clutter is definitely not God's doing (it was my creation). And it is me who won't let go of stuff. I did make some progress and hope to finish making the paths from the kitchen to the front door by the end of this month. I am still on God's side so that is a relief! Thank you for your prayers. Please keep my daughter in your prayers too. She is communicating with people online and feels better mentally. Please also pray for me that I will make it to my colonoscopy on June 5. I postponed it twice. The plan about how to get there is to take Uber. My daughter has to go with me. Leaving our car overnight at the hospital's parking lot and going back to get it back the next day is still an option but may not be the best. Me skipping the test will be a very bad idea since there were polyps the last two times I had the colonoscopy, and my dad passed away from cancer inside his stomach at 67. I don't feel any symptoms of cancer right now, just the chronic aches and pains from fibromyalgia and muscle pain. I will be 70 this year in November.
Don't worry about me and the tornadoes, I'm very, very much further west than that. I hope you won't get any tornadoes either.
