Well if you can prove all the things you alluded to then you should be able to get supervised visitation forever.

Its a rare circumstance that a newborn is allowed away from the mother while breast feeding. Even if you're not (I urge you to do so) most infants stay with their mother for several years.

i breastfed all my children but thats not my big issue some people cannot breast feed due to pills they are on etc. I'm curious i know he did drugs and it was in the news 20 years ago but the drugs i cannot proveunless im going back in time i don't know if he does drugs, what i do know is he is around many drug addicts but i dunno how to prove that either. He is very much a acoholic and im sure they can give him a test on that. I am also sure he had dwi on him also for driving drunk. He smokes and see things liek this cannot be proven he migth say i won't smoke around the child but how can u prove that. I do not want them to give him visitation at all has anyone been forced to give unsupervised visitation of their children to the father after allegations of such as mine and had newborns.

It dont matter if the child is a newborn or 17 years old. He has a right to see his child. If you move away it will look bad on you in the courts.

Yeah this is hard - I know the turmoil you are feeling. Unfortunately you have to prove that he is unfit and if you can then you will be able to restrict visitation, however in the meantime here in Australia they would not let my daughter stay overnight while she was a baby because she was too young and needed her Mum so it was a few hours at a time at first then it increased with age but you know what, he got bored and hardly sees her at all ... surprise, surprise ... the pendulum always swings back, it might take quite some time but it does trust me.

GSCH a responsible person male/female should have rights to see a child but not all people should have something to do with a child whether it's theirs or not. This man WILL not have anything to do with my child if i have anything to so with it. What can be proven is that he is a drunk, he has also sold his meds for money which might cannot be proven because he had his sister sell them for him but its something i know of, i been writing things down and their is more. His stepchildren hate him i must empatize hate which is a strong word and he raised them since they were three, wow if thats not weird what is. He alsobeing acused of fraudulent disablity recently, claiming back injury and they followed him and stopped his disablity checks for some time because of his fraudulent behavior but i dunno if he got it back. His license was suspended i think for dwi rcently maybe now a year, he drives his other young children around while drinking. No way in hell will i give my baby to someone like this, when i found out i was pregnant i thought of everything imaginable so i wouldn't have this child but i came to terms just recently that this is my baby and no matter what it is innocent in all this. I have been battling whether to take him to court for child support and i have decided many different occaisions just to not seek support at all and do it alone.

Hi . We have had disagreements before I dont want to battle with you. The bottom line is you and him are having a child. He has rights. No matter what he does in his life he has rights to see his child. It may be supervised, it may be only in your home, it may be at the police station. He has this right. If he pays cs or not. Cs is for the child to help pay bills. If just because you decide not to go after cs that does not mean he has no rights. He can take you to court and get a dna test. If he is the one than the courts will make you let him see the child.Say you move to Fla. When he is proven to be the father and the child being so young you are going to have to bring the child up here for him to see. Or he may have to come down there. But when child gets older. He will have the rights to see the child without you being there.

I totally understand your desire to protect your child, and your assessment that he is not a good parent in his current state. One thing you will find, is that the child will need and want contact with the father, no matter how bad he is. You need to determine if there is any danger to the child and mitigate that by having supervised visits or whatever, but it is best not to cut off contact altogether. It kind pf leaves a hole in the child's life to do that and if you go through a huge legal battle to accomplish it, that is harmful too.

Thiver i have changed my number and everything all together and haven't contacted him at all since i told him i was having a abortion. If my child gets to the age were he is a adult and wants to contact him i will give him the info to find him and trust me i think once given the chace to meet him my sons will understand why i kept him from knowing that man. I cannot allow my child in harms way because he has rights, thast liek saying a child molester has rights to see his children although he is a danger to them. Rights are overrated and when my child is old enought o protect himself it's a total different story. I cannot allow my child in the vehicle with a drunk driver knowing what can happen and he drinks and drives all the time. he smokes around his children. He says things that people just shouldn't say speaking from a stable mind. He intentionally got me pregnant what does that say about him really a grown man who makes a attempt to get a woman pregnant on purpose by breaking a condom to mess up her life by being apart of it. He has no rights in my book and cs i think will have to go non existent in this case and it hurts so badly that i feel he is getting away with all of this, i was hoping child support would be his punishment but it won't if he is around my child it will be mine and i won't be able to live with myself knowing my child is with that man!

We cant tell you what to do only try to advise. You have your mind set so no matter what we say it dont matter. Just remember that there is consequences to your action. Legal and moral. In the future he will find out and your actions may backfire on you. Remember you are keeping his child from him on purpuse.

Do u think im some woman on here lying about what this man has done just to keep a baby all to myself?I'm a wonderful mother and my kis have never went withoutand i pray god will continue with his blessings, i have been the best mother i could possibly be my children all will know mommy is sound mind and body and i did what i thought was best. If he was evenhalf a decent man i would have no problem letting my baby go around him but he is not, i don't mean to sound so terrible but im not a woman that would intentionally try and be selfish im just stuck in a terrible situation from allowing my loneliness to catch up with me one night and has cause me a lifetime of regret which is not my babies fault. I really wanted to find out information on my orginal question but honestly their is no way around this so i will have to deal with the cards laid for me and get over it!

Mary I am not saying you are a bad mother or a bad person. I am reading you posts. He is a drug addict, drinks, drinks and drives with his kids in car. He sounds like a low life ass.I understand that you dont want him around your child.I would not want anyone like that around my girls ( 13 & 16 ). But you BOTH made a child. You BOTH have rights. If you take this child away from him and tell him you got an abortion. If he finds out later the courts are going to be pissed at you it will look bad on you no matter what you may want. If you move out of state the judge can make you move back because you did this. There is a women on here who her x is in to drugs and so is his girlfriend. He still has rights to see his kids. If you lie to him or move away than you are taking away his rights. That is taking the law into you own hands.
