Tomorrow, I go back to court for the final hearing for visitation and child support and for a contempt of court hearing I filed against my ex. It was supposed to be last Monday but he was "sick." When he didn't show up for his visit yesterday, i texted him and he said he was still sick. He's just setting himself up to have an excuse not to show up tomorrow. On November 1st he asked for a continuance, last week he didn't show up, and now he probably wont show up tomorrow. It's so frustrating! Every time I have to go to court I have to miss class and now that I have final exams for the next two weeks, I really can't afford to miss any. He's not coming because he knows he's going to go to jail. I just hope that the judge will realize that tomorrow.

The court should see past that and issue a bench warrant on him. Good luck.

I went to court yesterday and he has 30 days to pay the full amount of child support before he goes to jail. I don't expect to get anything but it's a relief to know that the court is doing something.

Well that's good to hear :)
At least it seems that the court is actually going to do something and I'm glad they went ahead and made a decision despite if he was there or not. Did they make a ruling about the visitation then also?

The judge just said that the visitation will stay the same. He doesn't even show up anymore anyway. The last time he saw our daughter was Sept 4th. I guess if he wants to change it, he'll have to file for visitation modification.

So I go back to court on January 3rd for the contempt of court hearing for the judge to hear if he paid or not. If he doesn't pay (which I know he won't) he will have to argue in court as to why he shouldn't be put in jail. I know he won't pay and I know he won't show up to court.

Oh well. I never expected to get any money from him but at least he will know that I am a force to be reckoned with. I just want to be left alone.
