Hi all. Sorry for intruding, but I was hoping for some insight on something my husband can't/won't articulate for me.
Clearly, betrayed spouses are lied to. Most of the lies seem to be to cover up the affair, though sometimes there are other lies mixed in. But do wayward spouses also lie to their affair partner(s)? If so, what sort of lies did you tell? If not, what encouraged you to be more honest with your AP than your spouse?
No judgements. No finger pointing. No angry words. (Well, not from me!!) I just want a little insight.

My men both the H and the OM lied. The sad thing is I knee they both were lying. My H began an affair on line and I pursued the married man who I had been lusting over for years
I began flirting with him, and hooked up a year later. When our affair became known. I did not care. I was all in. We had a wonderful romance. My friends were appalled and in disnelief. I said screw them too I have to say for me everyone lies when. Cheating. The betrayed people lie to themselves
The cheaters lie to everyone, including themselves. Often the lies are so constant they appear to be the truth.
In my reality....an affair is a lie!
