Champions Of Christ Church Community Group
This is a church, but online! Most people view a church as the building you go to for worship. NOT TRUE. In the beginning, it was a community that shared things. This is a church. A web-based community who can share with others. Feel free to ask questions. There are no "dumb" questions. How will you know unless you ask. I only ask that you have JOY. (Respect of Jesus,...
Sooooo many times, I have said the same thing. Now, I listen and hear, "who steps forward?" Then, I stop and realize that I did not let God take full control.
Here's an image for you:
When you go to God with an issue, you hold that issue in your hands. You pray over it. You cry over it. You agonize over it. You offer it up to God.
Then, before He can take it from your hands, you snatch it back. You think, "That's ok, God. I can handle it on my own. Thanks anyway." Of course, He is very disappointed!!! But, it's your decision.
We need to take the issue to God. Do the things I mentioned above. Then, we need to open our hands, turn them over, and shake the issue from our hands. Make sure you don't take the issue back. Make sure you leave it with God. That includes worry over the issue. The first thought is not the sin. Dwelling on the thought, that's the sin.
I know it's hard. Especially when it's an issue like yours. But.....
Matthew 6
25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
It's hard!!! I'm praying. With and for you!!!
34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
This is the harsh ordeal of such problems as unemployment: you can rely on God alone, but you cannot be patient. No one will respond until you throw your resume, yourself, into the world.
I'm sorry you are struggling so. Thank goodness God gave such wonderful parents who will help you. I know you don't want to take from them, but sometimes that is God's will too. Pray and wait and listen.
Make Adjustments
by Joyce Meyer - posted February 06, 2015
Adding your diligence [to the divine promises], employ every effort in exercising your faith to develop virtue (excellence, resolution, Christian energy), and in [exercising] virtue [develop] knowledge (intelligence).
- 2 Peter 1:5
Sometimes we have to make a few adjustments in our lifestyle to follow wisdom. We may have to say no to too much activity. He¬brews 11:1 teaches that faith is the assurance of things we do not see now. But, like God, we can call "those things that be not, as though they are" (see Romans 4:17). This spiritual principle applies in the negative realm as well as in the positive realm. So we may need to make some adjustments to the things we say.
If you feel that it is hard to get up in the morning, don’t say, “I am too tired.” Get all of that weak, tired, wimpy, quitter, give-up talk out of your vocabulary. Instead, say, “Because the Lord is my strength, I can do whatever I need to do today.”

It's hard to put into words without facial expression or hand movement. Especially because I have a lot of Cajun blood in me ( mix of Italian, Spanish, German!!!!)
Let God lead. and, like Becky said, prayer, then Go with What God leads!!!
I've heard every single piece of Christian optimism from the challenges of Job to unanswered prayers. At first I believed it. Until I realized what it gives me. Nothing at all.
I was a true Christian until I lost my job. Now after four years of this shit, I don't want to hurt anymore.
I've filled out every single application thrown my way until my fingers and heart bleed. But you know what? I'm done.
Yes, put it in God's hands and be done with it. That's what I did with my estranged child until she came back. Some Christian parents are still waiting for theirs to come back. It doesn't mean that God's not listening to them.
God will provide when the time is right. Doesn't help when you're desperiate. It's hard to trust God. I know. I've been there with my situation.
It could be God's telling you to go in a different direction. My husband wanted a cop job so bad, but that must not have been God's plans because he couldn't get a job. Maybe God wants you someplace else.
I'll be praying for you.
I know that you believe that your situation is hopeless. You feel that YOU MUST do something to make your life different. Rejection is hard. Nobody knows rejection better than our Lord Jesus Christ.
You are hurt and angry. I want to remind you that THIS world is not fair. Jesus never said that it would be easy. As a matter of fact HE said just the opposition and told us that we would experience hard times. In this wordl you will expereince many sorrows.
Lessons are learned only through struggles. Only when we come out through to the other side do we see this to be true.
BE STILL and know that God is working in your favor. God will put the right people in your life at the right time. This was a hard lesson that I had to learn through my own trials and heartbreak. But it is Truth.
Do what you can do, PRAY, and let God do the rest. Keep your faith because if you lose that, then you will have lost everything.
Sending you love....
I do hope and pray that God will answer our prayers soon.
2 Peter 3:8 (NIV)
8 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.
