I'm not a christian but I'll tell you that the combination of my CP and the horrendious things in history that ive read about like Slavery and the Holocoustt. has made me an Atheist. If there was a God, I believe, then why would he allow such terrible things to happen to us? Why wouldn't he intervene, or prevent us from having CP or give us the "Forest Gump Miracle?" I believe in science and I don't see any logical evidence of God.

I respect what religion tries to teach us; be good to your neighbor, don't steal, cheat, murder ect. I respect that it gives some people hope too, but honestly religion has caused more harm than good. I mean christians used to burn protestants and Jews at the stake because they differ slightly in their beliefs. Come on. As far as I'm concerned, miracles only happen in fairytale dream-worlds and I'm just going to try to be the best person I can be regardless.

As for the spasms...I'd say see your doctor man.

sorry about your muscle spasms. try a little workout routine. or take a warm bath. to relax the muscles. I am a catholic. i do have faith. although i am with thisdude too. why god don't prevent us from CP. i dislike when people say we got to deal what the cards that we are dealt. but they are not in our shoes.on the other hand. i wasn't able to walk at all. now i walk but imply. and back i didn't have a permit. now i get it. it a little faith it out for us.

Yes, I think we should all fave faith, faith that we'll all get to where we nned to be in life faith has the power to heal to belive it will all be allright............So yes I do belive theire is a link between physical illness and faith.

I am a devout Christian. Cp has never diminished my faith in fact it has dramatically increased it. I am super blessed and have a fantastic life. I know I could have never accomplished all the wonderful things I have without Gods Help. I do not like having CP but in no way has it limited my accomplishments or future.

I do not know why God allowed me to have CP and I do not know why He hasnt intervened or healed me YET. If He does then great. I will chase my kids around the park. If He does not I will chase my kids around the park slowly.

What I do know is that God did not cause me to have CP. We live in a fallen world and the human body is fragile and sometimes things just happen.

God gave us his only begotten son, JESUS. Allowed Him to be spit on, beaten, stripped naked, humiliated, and killed in one of the most painful torturous ways then brought Him back to life in a perfect body for my sins and the sins of anyone willing to believe and confess that JESUS is his or her Savior and the Lord of his or her life.

After taken the punishment that belongs to me, suffering and dying, If God chooses to intervene or not -- I say He has already done enough to earn my devotion and loyalty. Healing would just be extra.

Yes Slavery and the holocaust were horrendous, but that has nothing to do with God. That is proof that man is evil without God. God gave us all free will which means choice and unfortunately most people choose evil.

Jesus said religion is a waist of time, foolish and evil [ Im paraphrasing]. Having a true relationship with Almighty God is the real blessing not religion. The crazy so-called christians who burned people or led the crusades were not followers of Jesus.

Where in the Bible did Jesus show approval for burning people, murder, robbery and rape? Nowhere! Thats not in the Bible.

I truly believe my faith has been impacted in a positive way. I record the sermon, with my pastor's permission, because it's hard to sit there with muscle spasms and because I have an auditory processing disorder. It's nice, you can take it home and have a second listen if you weren't paying attention. I'll be sure and keep you in my prayers, and remember that God understands. :)

hi jason i have to say during my life at my lowest points and i've had many due to my cp and eperlepsy its my faith thats gotten me throgh i belong to a very supportive churchand they are very accepting can i ask if someone at your church knows what to do if you have a siezure in church i've given my 'siezure plan' at my paster so they no what to do who to call write to me if you want to talk more

I agree with ThisDude, If we are suposed to be made in his image the question I have is "Does he/she/it have CP too?". After allthe sky fairy suposedly died ffor our "sins".

With all the research going on (we don't ever hear about it , but it's going on) I don't know about u guys, But I have faith that they will find a cure someday

Like jr, l am a Catholic & l know there is much about spasms that science cant control yet. l have CP on my L side & l get spasms in my
L leg only when l put too much weight on it. l'm trying to re-train my L leg to lead when l wear a brace on my 'good' leg 'cause of arthritis.l'm 58 & my R side is about worn out. No matter w/e Faith we do/dont have. we got to deal w/the now. Dude is an athiest so l dont think he is impacted. & l take my faith w/ good & bad (Spanish lnquision) God does what He wants. Jesus is a part of living history, His deeds were recorded by comtempories.George Washingtons deeds were recorded also. & l believe ones spirituality(or lack therof)

Having CP has brought me closer to God I think. I personally believe that God did not intend to give me cp, it just happened. But that's ok because every day I ask him to give em the strength to get through this. He does this by giving me patience and giving me a loving family and friends.
