Celiac Disease Support Group
Celiac disease is an auto-immune disorder of the digestive system that occurs in genetically-predisposed individuals. It is characterised by damage or flattening to all or part of the villi lining the small intestine, which interferes with the absorption of nutrients. This damage is caused by eating anything with gluten (gliadin), a protein found in wheat, rye, and barley...
1. Are you on any medication or nutritional supplements? Sometimes they have hidden gluten in them.
2. For some people, it's not enough to eliminate the normal wheat, rye, and barley gluten. Often they must go on a grain-free diet. For instance, in addition to wheat, rye, and barley, I've also noticed that corn gives me problems.
3. Are you sure that you've eliminated all the hidden carriers of gluten, such as MSG?
4. Some people with gluten issues, also have a dairy intolerance. Maybe you should temporarily avoid dairy to see if that is also a problem for you.
Here's hoping that you figure out what is causing your continued difficulties. I hope that possibly one of the things mentioned above will help you. Take care and best wishes to you.
Thank you so much! :)
Try Lactaid with the dairy. If you have troulbe with dailry it is likely lactose intolerance. No human can digest lactose. Most have the enzyme that breaks it down into processale elements.
