Celiac Disease Support Group
Celiac disease is an auto-immune disorder of the digestive system that occurs in genetically-predisposed individuals. It is characterised by damage or flattening to all or part of the villi lining the small intestine, which interferes with the absorption of nutrients. This damage is caused by eating anything with gluten (gliadin), a protein found in wheat, rye, and barley...
I am back to telling my self: 'If in doubt go without' after more reading lables again.
OATS is the other thing that i susssed out. Rolled Oats '100%' is ok as the gluten is oat gluten, but again its the processing with other products, that contaminates Uncle Tobys Traditional Oats.(It says 100% oats but has a 'contains gluten' warning)and it is because of the processing.
It was always undecided if the gluten in Oats was a no no but I still check for "produced on machinery that processes wheat" labels.
Its winter time here and i love Oats for breakfast, so I was real pleased to read it was safe, as explained.

BTY, the Catholic Church found a doctor who is willing to claim that wheat starch is safe. That is how they get away with trying to claim that they have a safe alternative for Celiac\'s and those allergic to wheat.
Actually you need to read up on grains. Buckwheat is not actually wheat it is more closely related to rhubarb.
Yes i like buckwheat or Sobu as it,s called I think. My head spins out enough atm being a carer, without added neurosis from dietary neglect.
Thanx for your replies MSM n Catloves.
