Hi,

I just went onto the Burt's Bees website. When you click on a product it gives you the option to click on an ingredient list.

Products that contain Vitamin E are: (Wheat Germ Oil)

Lifeguards Choice Lip Balm and Lip Balm w/ Pomegranate Oil

Strawberry Lip Gloss

Radiance Lip Shimmer

All Colored Lipsticks

Products that do not contain Vitamin E

Beeswax Lip Balm

Honey Lip Balm

They have a glossary of ingredients on thier website.

Does it look like their products are gluten free. I have the diet down, but am struggling with finding other body products that are GF.

Marj...me too..working on getting the diet info down...I do need to work on learning the other stuff now.

I have taken Vitamin E nearly 1/2 my life..are you saying that Vit. E has gluten in it?

I went to my pharmacist yesterday and he does not know if my meds are gluten free or not. I called one of the drug companies yesterday...and after going through about 6 different channels I finally got to talk to one of their pharmacists who said that they do not add gluten to my Norvasc, but could not guarantee that an ingredient from any of their suppliers would or would not contain gluten....So how can we be certain? What to do if I need to take the med?

i'M SO GLAD THAT BERT'S IS FINALLY COME OUT WITH THE VIT E STATEMENT...LAST YEAR WHEN I WAS USING THE STRAWBERRY LIP GLOSS MY LIPS WOULD BLISTER AND I WAS GETTING SICK. KEPT CALLING THE COMPANY AND THEY KEPT SAYING IT'S ALL NATURAL..WELL SO WHAT..DOESN'T MATTER IF IT'S NATURAL WHEAT..DUGH!!!!

Do we have to be wary of Wheat germ oil in products? Isn't it the protein in the wheat that we must avoid?

Hi Lady,
Your vitamins should state if there is wheat in them. My multi-vitamin which also contains vitamin E is gluten free. Also, I am quite shocked that your pharmacist could not give you GF information. I have two scripts that I take daily and at every refill they check the ingredients for me right from the manufacturer's package. Everything can get so confusing with this GF stuff! I also recently found out that some tropicana juices are not GF! Wheat is everywhere!

Here is another site for a list of GF drugs- www.rxlist.com Also most of Nature Made vtamins are Gf and some of CVS. You can pull it up on the computer and they list ingredients in each product. I find that since the you law for listing allergens on labels theings are get better for us. Good luck.
