As of June 1, 2009 Betty Crocker will have GF baking mixes available. Wow...GF baking has come a long way.

How do we get the stores to carry these?
How expensive are they? course... who really cares if we can have choc chip cookies?? :-)

Do you have suggestions for approaching store management to get them to carry these products?
We all have to become sales people to get our local stores to carry products.

I think emailing the stores you want the products in will work.

I know that I emailed Winco long ago and now when I shop there, they have gluten free products.

I may ask them to add more so I don't have to drive to Whole Foods.

These products will not be released until June of 2009. I'm not sure if Canada will have them also. I'm thinking with a company as big as General Mills they should be widely available.

Many of the GF products that are out now are made by smaller companies and at times it may prove difficult to find them. Hopefully, grocery stores will find it easier to purchase these products from a bigger manufacturer.

Email the company and ask them if they will sell in Canada.
I have done this with company stores, requesting they sell specific products and they do then sell at those stores.

I emailed Pet Smart about a product that Petco sold and I wanted it at Pet Smart. It's now there.

I emailed Winco asking them to sell some gluten free things and they are now selling some gluten free products.

I always mention my goal are my needs and this meets their goal in selling. I mention if they do begin selling the products that I will tell others on the net and thus they will make more sales and gain customers.

So, I would ask these companies to sell in Canada.
I bet they'll do it too. :)
