That does sound good. I love marshmellows. I know that dry pudding in cakes always improves their texture. How wonderful of your son to do that for you Omastoy! More people can do that now becuase this is a mainstream product sold in supermarkets everywhere.

And FYI, Betty Crocker IS a General Mills product. Same company but obviously there are issues involved in manufacturing gf cake mix that don't apply to making kids cereal.

I've heard they are sometimes coated with wheat flour to keep them from sticking. Much like rice crispies, apparently that's not required to be on the label since it's not an ingredient or something like that.

hmmm, thought it was corn starch that's used to prevent sticking... most that i have seen on shows like Unwrapped on the food network, use corn starch, and do remember vaguely a show about marshmallows, will have to look for online viewing of show.
Magazine publishers use corn starch to prevent stacks of mags/catalogs from sticking together...

I always use Kraft marshmallow. The Kraft company is very serious about there labeling. You can call them about there marshmallows but I am almost positive if it was coated with wheat they do have to list it.
