Where can I find transporation services who can take my mom to and from doctors appointments in New Jersey?
Our car has a wheelchair ramp but unfortunately my mom is too weak to get off the wheelchair or even on the wheelchair to make it on the van.
I've done a lot of searching as well as called Medicare but all they told me is to call an ambulance service and request an ambulance when you need one for the appointment. Well, we did that... and they told us because its not an emergnancy, they don't have one available so she had to miss her appointment.
Many people in this world do not have transporation... I can't imagine there's no other way of transporation.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
You could also check if it's just to see a family doctor if there's a Doctor House Call Service
If your mom has been in the hospital recently then check with them, discharge staff often make referrals to community resources. If she goes into the hospital again, make a point of asking her case manager, the social workers, and charge nurse (nurse in charge of the unit she is in) if they have leads for you.
I know that we were able to secure non-emergency transport for my dad, but it involved calling ahead and coordinating it with the doctor's scheduler. (We live in Los Angeles CA, so no experience in your area)
