Yes doing preschooler Care, working FT, moving my parents to independent living community, cleaning out their home for sale, ordering a moving truck, taking my mom to visit my dad in rehab and planning a wedding in 2.5 months is quite a toll and stressful. I realize this and taking more time off work to get a handle on all this stuff. But on a daily basis I’m trying to add yoga, breathing, walks, massage, day trips, beach trip, hang w friends, support group to try to manage my stress. I feel stress in my chest and shoulders as I probably clench or tense up more. It also messes up my diet as I binge more and exercise less. I need to put as much focus on relaxing and destressing because it affects my health. So I’m actually trying to schedule in relaxation and self care.

It's really hard when you come to this road in life.... It's stressful for everyone concerned

I don't know an easy way around it.... It's hard to wrap your head around your parents coming to this fork in the road

Do you have any siblings that can help you? or could you pay someone from your parents money to help you go through their things... Maybe a teenager?

It's good you can take some time off of work.... If you need the money from work I would let your mom know that she'll have to pay you back when the house is sold

Yeah my brother and his family moved a few years ago to another state. They only stopped by here for 1 week to visit. And when I text my brother about everything going on he doesn’t even say a word. Must be nice to just look the other way. I will help my mom for weeks to go through and sort things that we will save that are sentimental, trash and thrift store. It’s a long process but we can’t just dump it all. At least I found a moving company that will take furniture and stuff to the thrift shop for a fee. So I will gather it all up then have the truck move stuff out. That will be a HUGE help. As I find answers I feel slightly better. Like I solved one problem and on to the next. The worst part is when you don’t know what to do or what is available. But after making some calls about what movers will do I feel some pressure off my shoulders.

Luckily I have some time available to take off from work to help them. Once they move and settle it things should slow down a bit as they enjoy their new retirement community.

I hear you...… A lot of us have struggled with only one adult child is willing to help..... My brother and I became estranged during this time and I've heard of it since many time.... Big hug.....xo

    Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
