Words can hardly describe my exhaustion since moving Mother to the new facility. SO many problems!! How can they have a 5 star rating on Medicare.gov?? I'm just wiped out... as is my poor Mother. But she did have a good PT session today, which I watched and was so proud of her working so hard. But really, I feel like people are asleep at the wheel. The "orders" from the Doc don't come in... "we'll call..." ... yeah, sure. So I call... and then it happens. I feel like if I'm not there every minute things don't go right. Move her to a new room today but only after I get after housekeeping to CLEAN the new room. They were cleaning her OLD room before the new one. What?? Then move the big oxygen tank, which BTW makes an incredible noise!... but don't hook it up. If I hadn't noticed just before I left that she was not on O2 at all... wheelchair tank was empty and the big one not hooked up ... she would have been without O2 for...?? who knows how long.
I'm soooo disgusted with these places. We're moving to hospice ASAP and just hope we can keep her comfortable and safe here at home.
Oh wurra, wurra.... Thanks for letting me vent. I'm really whacked.
