88FIn 1969 we decided to get married without a big wedding. Most of our friends and family liked large over the top for the time kind of weddings and I did not. First, I didn't see why spending so much money for one day when we have the rest of our lives to live. I have never regretted not having a big formal wedding. Another issue is not liking all the attention. Also, we have gone to big...

It's going to get hotter here with Thursday being the hottest. It's noon and 75f feels more like 80 or more.I've been cleaning up the deck in this morning and cleaning the windows outside. Then I cut up a pallet in half, I've decided to call it quits now because I went a bit light headed. Joanne, some drugs we take have an effect on us in the heat, I know a couple of mine do, maybe yours...

Gentle hugs
When I was suffering with a broken leg and my hubs was out of town on business she refused to come help me. A tm she was in perfect health and could have had no problem getting on a plane. Her friends were more important to her than me and they always will be.
I hope you find some peace of mind soon. It's not easy loosing a parent that you were so close with. I'm so sorry for you there. I don't want to loose my mother, I would really like for her to be the funny, warm and caring person she used to be.
Remember we are all here and in the same boat Cinben, your mom would never have wanted you to go first. I dread the day that I will be in your shoes, I know it is not too far from now,
Hugggggggggggggggg !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mr. Pepper is right. It's just one day at a time. She of course will always be missed but maybe one day it won't hurt so much.
My Dad died in 2007 and I miss him everyday. It seems like some of the issues I had with him (like his drinking and upsetting my Mother eventhough she always had an excuse for him) seem to fade away and I am only remembering the great times. All those trips to the beach, fishing and crabbing and going camping. My Mom never went with us....only the camping trips.
She had her own health isssues in and out of hospital so we never were that close. She never seemed to be there for me at times. But now as she has gotten older she has become an angel Mom and grandmom but it is so ironic that because of my health issues I am not there for her as much as I would like.
Story for another time and maybe to a Therapist. :-}
My 94 year old Mil has become soo crabby...cannot say that I blame her with all she is going through. But I just don't deal with it. I leave that up to hubby and our girls. I am always very loving to her and often fuss at my husband for not having more patience with her. He is getting better.
So sorry to go on and on, cinben. But if I may add one more thing. I am soooooo sorry to those that had mean Moms. :-(
Hugs to all.
I wish you the best.
