Caring For Aging Parents Support Group
Caring for aging parents can be a difficul time as we become the caretakers for our parents. This broad responsibility can encompass such services as assisted living, adult day care, long term care, nursing homes, hospice care, and in-home care. Whether you have just started caring for your parents or just need a place to talk, we're here.
Everyone, have a great day - if you possibly can. Personally, I'm sooo tired, I just want to go back to bed. But it's down the stairs for me to check on Mother.
There is one question that perplexes me, and that is "Where did it all come from?"
Physicists talk "about matter and anti matter" and "energy and negative energy" being created in equal amounts to not violate the conservation of energy and mass laws.
But then if I assume that there was a God who created it all my question boils down to "Where did God come from?"
So I take the existence of God based on faith, and the existence of the laws of science based on experiment, observation and more experiments!
To those of you with faith, may your faith in your God comfort you in trying times.
Gentle hugs to all, and to all a good night!
Whatever your beliefs are as long as you believe in them, that's what's important; it's about whatever gets you through life, good times and bad. Debating between a Christian Apologist and Atheist is a "no win" situation but it's good to see that folks out here can debate without it becoming a point of contention.
I'm just happy that Penny is sounding so much better!
But I have to keep my sense of humor and I try to keep my sense of gratitude for all I DO have... my wonderful loving husband, my own good health, a great dog that brings me joy every time I look at him and still having my mother with me. Tough times... but many have it worse. Thanks for your concern and good wishes.
There's always something to be happy about if we really think about it. Sometimes, It's too much thought so I wallow in self pity. Then I get mad at myself, there's so many others out here that are going through much worse than myself.
We're allowed pity moments out here because everyone is so supportive! Thank the lord! It's just good to see you happy again!
No, she's not an aspiration risk - as far as I know - just one of those things, I guess. She has done something like this a few times before but not much. Mostly she eats well.
I sure do appreciate this group, however. I use Facebook at times but you all understand the real picture of what we're all going thru.
Thanks.
I need to schedule my nervous break down for after my father and MIL pass. Hopefully my wife does not need the same schedule I do! (Just kidding here, but I do know there will be a huge letdown then. Hopefully that day is still years and years down the line.)
Hmmm, 1 1/2 dose of generic ZQUILL for me tonight! But then I'm a big guy and need the bigger dose!
Off to get some ZZZZZZZs
