Caring for aging parents can be a difficul time as we become the caretakers for our parents. This broad responsibility can encompass such services as assisted living, adult day care, long term care, nursing homes, hospice care, and in-home care. Whether you have just started caring for your parents or just need a place to talk, we're here.
I am here after a very hard week; trying to enjoy the first morning since August 26. A nice big mug of my favorite Java in hand.
Firing insults and edicts at me is my Mother. I am exhausted physically and am just letting her vent. Now and then saying "oh lovely remark Mother"
She pauses here and there as we read the newspaper.
I know she is venting. Still, ruined this wonderful brew. I would like to tune out and ignore her but there are ways to assess her and see how she is functioning. Listen for her fears and problems. Be more objective I suppose.
My coffee is cold and is swill with no thrill. Going to leave early to get a
Star***ks and loaf in my car before work. Now I understand why some people hang out at coffee shops.
