My son had a head injury when he was 13. He is now 24. He uses pads (we don't say diapers as he is not a baby)and also needs a bib. We use towelling beers mats as we felt it was more age appropriate. I can understand how you may feel embarrassed. I am not prying so please feel free to not answer, but i wonder if you were born with your disabilities or not. My son can't speak but in the beginning he showed frustration and distress but he seems to have come to a place of acceptance now. He also needs everything done for him.
