i'm tired no rest for the weary. What i do i do from the heart, but my brother thinks that i don't do enough oh lord the attitudes i get from him. he has a mean strike.i bend over backwards still not enough

Hello precey my friend, I know exactly how you feel. As a caregiver for my husband I never can do anything right ! It's very frustrating and it makes you feel like all the work you go to is not appreciated. My husband, despite his brain damage , is very mean at times. Even hurling the "F" word at me. It hurts alot !! It's one thing to care for someone that appreciates it, but it takes a SAINT to care for someone that calls you names ! Some nights I cry myself to sleep.

Wish I had answers, maybe someone else here will.

This is the toughest job ever! No one who has not done this seems to truly understand. Not the person being taken care of or the other family members who are off the hook because we are the caregivers. It totally changes your life! I would not not do it but it would help if others understood how much it changes one's life. Hang in there. We are here for you.

Know the feeling, mate.

I care for a Gran who demands her way ALL THE TIME and keeps going on about the same freaking incidents from the past. It can be a thankless task; even at the best of times; but you will become stronger as a result.
