Hello all my fellow caregivers, hoping you are doing OK. Don't really have too much to say other than my husband continually finds an ailment to complain about....on a daily basis.....or an hourly basis. Would love to have a day with him just saying "I feel good today" but those days are gone. Well, that's enough ranting on that. I fell earlier this week,(my left ankle suddenly gave out!) took a hard belly flop on ashpalt, and while going down, thought I would protect my face and chest by putting my hand between me and asphalt. It might have been a good thing....but when all 175 pounds of me came crashing down on my hand it was not all that of a good thing! Lost my breath and took awhile for it to get back. Nice people came out to see if i was OK and helped me back to my feet. Good news is that my hand was not broken (had it xrayed), but it is still swollen and sore. Doctor said he could splint it but I thought "Oh, sure, all I need to be is out of commission too!" Also thought my white pants were ruined, but after several scrubbings and washings, was able to get the asphalt out!! No fun when a 60 year old falls anymore! But I am OK, and have made it through another week! Happy Friday to all!
