how to help someone cope

My daughter is just recently in the last couple of months realising the impact her fibro will make on the rest of her life. How can I help her to deal with this as easily as possible. She has been ill for about 7 years now, with the last year being the worst since diagnosis. She is normally a very positive person, but now has a few days where she lets her concerns show. Any ideas?

I don't have any advice to give - but I am also looking for ideas. My daughter is 19 and has been dealing with fibro since age 12. At least I think its fibro - you always wonder if there is something else going on. I want to learn how I can help her as well. As a parent - all you want for your children is to be healthy, happy, and productive. I wish there was a place (maybe there is and I don't know about it) where they could get life coaching. It breaks my heart that while others are off to college she is in pain. I too wonder - what can she do to be productive? What kind of career will she be able to function and feel good about.

I'm not an expert at anything...however it may be good for your
daughter to be able to express her concerns to you. Sounds like it has been a long road for her and you. Sometimes having a caring person to listen to her, is one way of helping her feel supported, and she can continue to cope. On her good days, enjoy those as well.
