I know exactly what you mean ( Guess I married the same guy too ! ), every & I mean every time I have the chance to get out and have fun my husband vomit's just before I'm ready to leave ! I was stupid in the beginning and cancelled my plans because I thought he was sick.......well not anymore. Now I hand him a towel and say "Hope ya feel better " and I leave !
Enjoy your well deserved vacation my friend !

Just one more thing I learned to do to survive as a caregiver these last four years .
Have a great day !

While in Vegas, I realized how much I have to do on a daily basis at home, and how much my husband has deteriorated this last year compared to when I went to Las Vegas at this time last year. I have to admit, I did dreaded coming home. My husband told me how bad he felt all weekend, how he could not do anything, etc. I took it in stride, knowing that this really is just going to be a daily thing with him from here on out. Now that I am home, helped him with a shower, made him some dinner, and am spending time with him, he is starting to feel better. You know, sometimes it is just that they want special attention!
My patience with my husband had worn pretty thin, so getting away really helped. I feel like I can handle this situation better now....well, at least for awhile!!! lol
Thanks all for your support!!!
so glad you had such a nice respite!.
