Seriously, though, you are dealing with a lot of challenges. One key thing is to do everything you can to take good care of yourself. Otherwise, you will be no good to anyone else.
What is his prognosis for recovery time? Is this supposed to be a "permanent" thing or do they see him getting better and not needing you...or at least not needing you so much?
Sending love and care.
You will find this group to be supporting & loving. We ALL "get" how difficult it is to be a Caregiver.
I cannot imagine your stress in dealing with your home situation & then the challenges of teaching BD students...

The people in this group are very caring.
I also care for my husband who has a brain injury.
I retired from my nursing job to be at home with him...not much support from his family.
People always say to take care of yourself, but it is so hard.
I once told a doctor when I was being discharged from hospital ,that I am third after my cat. He told me that was very sad and it is.
I don't know where you live, but here in Canada we have funded home care, but it is sporadic . They are always short staffed.
I hope you can get some help. Many of us burn out due to being over worked,
Welcome to our group
Blessings
Laura
