I have been fighting a cold, sore throat, and congestion for two weeks. I am finally starting to feel better, but not all that much. I still don't have much energy and I also have Rheumatoid Arthritis and that has been bothering me too since I had to stop my RA medications and give my body a chance to fight the cold.. I still have a business to run, and had to go to the office this morning. I tried to encourage my husband to take a shower on his own today. He has a beautiful walk-in shower, with a chair and hand held shower nozzle that makes it eaasy for him. Yes, it's a bit of job for him, but he can do it. He just needs to prepare what he needs and take his time. This would be such a huge break for me if he would just do an occasional shower on his own. He just called to tell me he dragged all his stuff downstairs, (soap shampoo, blow dryer, but probably forgot towels) and he is going to wash his hair in the kitchen sink because he did not want to take a full shower. What sense does that make??? I am sure he is waiting for me to come home, so i will help him wash his hair in the sink. (he keeps asking when I will be home) He will need my help and then it will require me to clean up the kitchen sink area, get towels for him, etc. and then take everything back up stairs after he is done. (he has severe walking disabilities and carrying things is hard for him) He complained the last time he had to bend over to shower in the sink his back hurt him. His actions make no sense. I told him not to bother, just wait and he could use the shower tomorrow. but no...he wants to wash his hair in the kitchen sick today which is harder on him. I just don't understand his reasoning. I just needed to vent, I am not sure I feel any better. Thank goodness for Daily Strength where I can come and vent.....thanks for listening.
