Bullying Support Group
Bullying is the act of intentionally causing harm to others, through verbal harassment, physical assault, or other more subtle methods of coercion such as manipulation. Bullying can be defined in many different ways, but one thing is clear: no one deserves to be bullied. If you or someone you know is coping with bullying, this is the place to share your feelings and get...
The teacher is a female. We have just moved her so many times for various reasons. This is her third elementary school. Other parents at other schools give similar stories. If I move her again, she would be homeschooled.
My husband talked to the teacher, but I am not sure how many details were revealed. That is the biggest problem. She is afraid to give the details, so they don't have much to respond to.
As alice said, bullying starts at any age. My youngest daughter started being bullied in kindergarten. School personnel, even when given details and names did nothing but tell me how wonderful the bullies were. She was also picked on in church by her sunday school class.
I would keep her in the judo class, my daughter loved her martial arts class and it was the one place she could be with her peers that she wasn't bullied or made fun of. Having a positive experience like the class is imperative! Also, those are good skills to know in this day and age.
First, I want you to know that everyone is different. As is every case of bullying.
My daughter is now 16 years old. She was pulled from high school when 15 years old at Thanksgiving. She has been bullied throughout her school life.
She is now in therapy and has been for a couple of years. She absolutely refuses to have anything to do with kids her own age in person. She has a few good friends online that have been checked, spoken with and seen by me. She tries to live in a "happy world" where she doesn't have to think about all the bullying...not to the point of creating an imaginary world, just avoiding thinking about the memories. A brilliant young lady who could have easily been valedictorian....because of bullying will be lucky to be able to handle a college situation long enough to get her GED.
If you choose to homeschool, make sure to research so you know what you're getting into.
Hugz to you and your daughter!
