Breastfeeding Support Group
While breastfeeding is recommended by many doctors, it is not as simple as it seems. This is a community dedicated to parents who are choosing to breastfeed, providing a safe place to discuss everything from pumping, to questions of whether baby is getting enough, weaning, breast care, scheduling, supply, and more.
If I had to guess it sounds like your DD is going through a growth spurt and is still working on figuring how much to eat to fill her tummy which is why she's puking. We went through a huge growth spurt from 7-9months old where I felt like all I did was nurse (as I said she never ate to "fill up" on solids until closer to 10months) and that's ok. My nephew didn't eat solids until closer to 13 months because he showed no interest
Hope this helps
my first developed a milk allergy around three months old. and soy by 4-5 months old. milk was after her first DTaP shot (its grown in milk protein) then she could no longer tolerate bm or formula ( had to supplement due to low supply) i cut milk and soy and she got better.
the second was allergic at birth to milk soy and beef...
I agree with 4 ever, some babies start solids a bit later. I wold not force the issue on her, but maybe visit a chiro or osteopath to see if there is anything in her mouth that makes SWALLOWING FOOD difficult. This may explain why she may not be interested in it. At her age, btw, she should be able to eat most of the things on your plate, if you just mash them up a bit with a fork. There is no need for fancy, expensive, caned purees or of all things, rice cereal, which is low in nutritive value, rich in constipating abilities ( because of iron and rice naturally constipates)
