Thank you so much for you reply and hugs.
Did you have Taxotere once per week? The doctor told me each week would get worse until the effects have settled into place. My own reading is telling me I would have a constant nadir and therefore would need to stay away from people/places to protect from illness and infection.
I have my first grandchild on the way this summer at the very minimum I want to be there.
When did you have taxotere and for how long? Why are you no longer on this regimen?

I was sick most on the third day after treatment, but it wasn't a continual sick. The anti-nausea drugs do work - at least for me. The hair loss, well, it does grow back. Curly and gray in my case. I was a stage II, not a stasge IV as it sounds like you are.
You say you insist on living life and won't take treatment if it interferes with that goal. You are the only one who can make the call and say ENOUGH when you are done with treatment. Keep in mind that treating the cancer is the only proven way to buy you time to actually live that life you are so fiercely protecting.
You've gone through several treatments finding out what does not work for you. Maybe this is the one that will work. And maybe it will just make you really sick and not help. There is no guarantee. Taxotere is a nasty drug. Not everyone gets neuropathy. I did not. Not everyone develops an allergy to it. I did.
In any event, you are the only one who can answer the question of when you've had enough treatment and when you wabnt to let it run its course. Only you know how much you've already suffered.
I hope you find clarity soon as this is a time sensitive issue. I also hope you find something that puts you into a full and complete remission. Until then, live, laugh, and love, every day to the fullest with everything you've got!
Be well.
