Breast Cancer Support Group
Breast cancer is a cancer that usually originates in the ducts or lobules of the breast. Symptoms of breast cancer can include a lump in the breast, a change in size or shape of the breast or discharge from a nipple. If you or a loved one has been diagnosed with breast cancer, this is the community to discuss your experience, find support, and meet others going through...
This is not your mother's cancer. The scariest part is not knowing what it is! That is where you are now! Is it cancer? Is it advanced? Is it nothing?? This is the scariest part!! Once they diagnose you and you have a better idea of what you are dealing with, if anything, you will see a surgeon (find the best you can) and you will find out how you are going to work to get rid of it!!! It will be a relief to see the surgeon! Try to hang in there, I know the wait is excruciating but you will make it! Please keep us posted and come here to vent anytime!

Love to you too :) Cherie
If it was the tech, she may have just been trying to reassure you. If it was the doctor, I would place more weight in her opinion, because that is what she does for a living - interpreting scans.
Please try to tell yourself that you will not worry unless you have something to worry about, and then you will deal with it. I know it's hard, but try to conserve your energy! If you end up having a biopsy tomorrow, you might have to wait for the results.
You are doing great! Hang in there, and keep us posted! ***hugs***
Then every other year, I get called back for an ultrasound with the radiologist. He sees my mammogram results, and he is the one that does my jelly-on-the-boobs thing, looking at the monitor and searching for what he needs to know. He knows my history, and is keeping an eye on me. I've known him for years, and I trust him. He is the one that would tell me if I need any further investigation.
It's always better safe than sorry, and it's never too late. So try not to worry TODAY! : )
Unfortunately all you can do is wait to talk with the Dr.. Remember it will be better after that. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best. Know that there is a lot that they can do for you no matter what. Breast Cancer is a very high profile disease with lots of research and advances medically! It gets better all the time! A friend of mine had it in her lymph nodes and had 18 of them removed. That was about 7yrs. ago and even though she didn't take her tamoxifen for long (maybe 6 mos.) She is alive to talk about it. I had a bilateral mastectomy because there were indicators that it could return someday and I don't want to wait around for it to happen. I am now considered safer than the average woman. What I'm trying to say is that no matter what you hear, there are things you can do! Believe that and hang in there, be strong! Keep us posted!
Love and hugs, Cherie
