And post here for advice from those going through the same thing. After 17 months I can say it DOES get better.
I wish someone had shown me this over a year ago
Very helpful advice
I am 5 weeks NC and starting to feel some benefit from it.....even 2 years after separation
My best advice is trust your inner knowing above all others.
That means listen to your body and your 'gut' instincts. Our bodies & instincts never lie. If you feel anxious, scared, uneasy, uncomfortable, nervous, etc. there's a reason.
Don't try to rationalize or explain the feelings. It's the rationalizing and/or explaining that ends up talking us out of trusting our inner knowing & our bodies. My body and 'gut instinct' have never ever been wrong when warning or 'red flagging' me.
This is was an amazing advice but she didn't say how to change it. I discovered that on my own.
I went back to look at the things I used to do before I met my ex-wife. I listened to the songs I used to listen to before she came along. I started doing what I used to do before she came along.
It was truly an amazing thing. All of a sudden, I was just doing fine.
