My X mother in law blatantly said I could fix her some of my homemade eggrolls if I wanted to. With Mother's Day coming up, does she expect I would do this for her for Mother's Day? She and I have no quarrels, but seeing her take her son's side and turning a blind eye to all the lies and cheating he did, I don't like this woman anymore than I did when I was married to her son.

Any thoughts or comments?

I'm with Woobs. Why are you letting her make you feel guilty? Fuck a handful of that.

And I wouldn't even send her the recipe. I'd just ignore her altogether.

The most I would do is give her a takeout/delivery menu from the local Chinese restaurant.

it is perfectly okay not to make anything for xinlaw...
my x- father in law tells me all the time i should still do stuff for him...

No I wouldn't feel guilty at all.

My Ex in laws we get along for the sake of my children. However holidays, birthdays etc we no longer acknowledge and I'm ok with that.

I agree ignore her request and move on. Hugs! :)

She complains that the chinese restaurants' eggrolls just aren't the same as homemade. Thanks for helping me say, "Oh well, get a new daughter in law."

My MIL doesn't speak to me,but thats Ok. But not knowing your MIL maybe this is just a way for her to try to open the door a crack to see if you are interested in a relationship.

Being a mother I know that even if my son was in the wrong in the relationship, that I would try to keep my relationship with him over his mate. After all his my son.

I like sweetpeas reply #12 because I am assuming that if your XMIL is providing a kiddy shuttle service, it is in your best interest to keep the relationship positive.

You can never have too many friends.

However, if your heart wants XMIL out of your life ... NO EGGROLLS FOR YOU!

My STB-ex mother-in -law last night told me if I didn't stop crying about how much I love her son and don't understand what is happening to him, she would just have to hang up. She called me, not the other way around. Now I know why he has a difficult time handling emotions and doesn't want to deal with anything involving feelings. I have decided not to call her anymore. I have taken care of her for years and her recently deceased husband when neither of her sons would do it. Now, all of a sudden, she can't have compassion for my tears. All I can say is ,"Save yourself."
