Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
But it takes time. Believe me you will. I have been divorced for over
twenty years and while losing that first love is painful, I did move on.
It does get better but you must take it one day at a time, sometimes
one moment at a time to get through this.
Take care!!!
But we have to have hope and faith that because we are loving individuals, that we will pick and choose the right people for us going forward. Someone that does embody the qualities and chemistry that we need. It will never replace the person we are no longer with, but it will be different. We have to have faith. Otherwise, why even try? And try we must in time. I don't see myself working on this for a very long time. It's so new for me right now, I can't even contemplate dating. Ugh.
Peace girl.
sometimes love isn't enough, but i am sure he misses you too for what it's worth
That's a rather scarie avatar you have there. You're not inclined to hurt yourself, are you????
First, let me make a suggestion. Change your profile pic. With a picture like that, what you're doing is reminding yourself that you are hurt (which is fine during the initial stages) but at some point you need to start making small changes in your life to move towards getting better.
Second, remember that it's a two way street. Why would you want to be with someone who doesn't want to be with you? Every second you spend thinking about him is a second you won't get back and you're wasting time and energy thinking about someone who does not deserve it.
Not going to sugarcoat it, maybe you will never find someone with a connection like that again. But there's also a chance you might find someone who will be 100X better than this last guy. But unless you accept completely that it is over, your mind won't allow you to see the good in new people.
Continue to work on yourself and strive to get to a point in life where no one will be able to hurt you again. It all starts with loving yourself, as cliche as that sounds. Good luck!
