I had a crazy night over a year ago the first time my EX walked out on me well it was about 2 months after he walked out. What a long story, anyweays tell us about ur night.
Glad to hear you had a good time; sounds like a wild one. Don't worry about what you did--people need to cut you some slack--you're going through a rough time right now.
If you goofed up with someone, apologize and blame it on the divorce. We know you're still a nice guy; you just let the pirate come out last night--no more Captain Morgan for you! lol
Spill what beans? It is already up here for all.
If you are talking about telling the stbx...she decided to divorce me so I don't have to tell her jack...she is no longer in my life!
A good night is waking up and realizing you still got your id but no money.
A fun night is getting drunk as hell and thinking man what could have happen.
Moral: Pick up another liter of Captain for tonight.
I am starting to feel relieved that all of this has happened. I am definately learning a lot about getting back on your feet. I have definately moved on past the "Holy Crap she left me" phase and I am into the "Rebuild and Repair" phase of the whole thing.
Ah, Hells bells, here is the total story of the other night. For better or for worse I am going to put it out there.
Okay, I got really drunk from drinking aobut 6 beers and 1/2 a bottle of Captain Morgans. There was a dispatcher there that I did think was pretty cute, at the time, and we had been flirting a little earlier in the day with Text messages (She had my phone number because she had been helping someone set this party up and she needed it for details from me).
We ended up having a serious talk later on in the evening (As serious as one can get when they are BLASTED). She told me that she has an ex-fiancee that keeps on bugging her but that is over. She said that she had slept with one of my co-workers (he was the guy that the party was being thrown for and that guy's fiancee was the person who organized the party). She was told by that guy that him and his fiancee were breaking up so that is why she started messing with him. After she saw how the guy and his fiancee were, tonight, she felt like crap and that was definately over. She seemed like pretty cool person and she liked to sail so I invited her to sail the next day. She accepted.
We ended up going back to my place together. Well, not really my place but one of the places that I crash (as the only real home I have now is the sea). We hooked up (I refuse to go into detail there, sorry guys).
The next day, hung over as I was, I still kept my promise to take her sailing. The whole drive down there and the whole drive back she was getting phone calls and text messages. One of the phone calls was for that guy (the co-worker) and she had two phone calls from the ex-fiancee.
After we were done sailing I dropped her off at her car. She was supposed to go home and take a shower and then come back to one of my crash pads to watch movies with me.
It turns out that she had promised, a few weeks ago, to take my co-worker to dinner for his birthday. She said that she wasn't going to do that because she was mad at him. Well, she texted me back and said that she was going to dinner with my co-worker and not coming over. I texted her back, don't think that she could tell that I was being sarcastic, and said "Have fun with (Insert name)." She texted back "OK"
She really did me a favor because that was the writing on the wall to avoid this like the plague. NO WAY..NO HOW...Not going to get in the middle of this one. I am just going to excuse myself and keep this is a lesson learned.
Not to say that I am totally done in the social scene for a while. I am just going to hang out with friends and watch what happens. If something good comes my way then all the better, I am just not going to look hard.
What a bloody mess!!! Oh well, live and learn. I was mad at myself yesterday and I felt cheap for being so easy (yes, guys can have those feelings too). Today I realize that it was okay and it is just part of growing. Live and learn
Heave my only concern is that you and her just split 2 maybe 3 weeks ago.... Don't need you all upset about the dating world... Stay strong!
I guess that I realized after the other night that I don't need someone around to make myself happy. I can take my time and be patient and not rush into anything. Apparently I am not too bad of a catch so that did help my confidence a little :)
Just wanted to thank you for your line about "I have definitely moved on past the 'Holy Crap she left me' phase and I am into the 'Rebuild and Repair' phase of the whole thing." It made me realize that for some reason I myself am clinging desperately onto the "Holy Crap he left me" phase and not moving on. I wonder why that is. No wonder I feel lousy.
Like you said, live and learn.
