How long has this been going on?
It's been about a week now since my wife told me that our marriage is over in her eyes. I always knew that we argued too much, but figured it was just the way our relationship worked. I am feeling a great deal of pain at the moment. I don't want to end this marriage. I want to try and make things work, but she doesn't feel the same way. I think I am actually in shock about the whole situation. It's hard to comprehend how I can feel one way, yet she feels another. We have two young children, ages 6 and 4. I can't imagine not having them living in my house. I can't imagine my wife not living in my house. Man this hurts real bad. I never knew I could feel so much pain.
This is getting ridiculous.
Is anybody staying together anymore ?
Hey man, welcome.
You have come to the right place.
The more you share , the more we can help.
The people here are great, and have seen it all before.
Listen to them.
I did, and it is a huge help.
Sorry to see another hurt soul on DS. I feel your pain...I really do. You've come to the right place. DS has saved my life on more than one occasion.
There are a lot of wonderful people here who can provide support and advice to help you through this most difficult of times.
I will say this...it sounds like this is still in the pupa stage. If you think there is ANY WAY to save your marriage (i.e. talking out your problems, therapy, getting away together for a few days to reconnect), please try.
Hugs, mate.
Next is to figure out if theres something to save. As others suggested marriage counseling can work wonders IF and ONLY IF both parties are willing to work really hard at it. NOTHING works if only one is trying and if you dont believe it can help youre already defeated. If she wont go please get yourself and the children in. Let your children know that this isnt their fault. Theyve done nothing wrong.
Sorry to say but if she doesnt agree to counseling or some sort of third party intervention then shes not willing to invest in the relationship any more. Many of here have experienced this whether is because our spouses found someone else, or simply didnt want to try. We can understand that pain too.
If thats the case I recommend you contact a lawyer, keep a journal (write down everything!!!) What you do, what you spend, things you do for the children, conversation that you have anything pertaining to your marriage. It helps to journal your feelings too! When I was first going through my divorce my ex would turn things I said around. Making himself to look like a saint. All time he was the one screwing around and completely had abandoned us physically and financially.
I wish there was more I could say but there are great group of people here to listen. So sorry you're hurting, but glad you found us. We're here to listen, offer advice and maybe just maybe make you laugh once or twice.
Did you mention Tacos? I didn't read threw the entire thing.
