So the last message I got from my ex was in the middle of August right after he got out of jail. I told him I didn't want any kind of contact from him and since then I haven't heard anything from him. Now today I logged in to my facebook account (keep in mind he isn't even on my friends anymore) and what do I have but a message from him. Not only that but a message from one of my closest friends from where my ex messaged him too. I log in and see his name in my inbox and feel like someone punched me in the stomach.

The message to my was all about how he still loves me and he doesn't think he will ever love anyone ever again because they won't be able to measure up to me - and that he is about to get his license. And the one he sent to my friend was asking him how badly he had hurt me. What does he think he is going to accomplish with this and why is it that he can't just leave me alone and let me heal and move on with my life?

Keep up the no contact. Hes just trying to see if he can dupe you into being involved with him again. Just delete anything wit his name on it and don't even read it.

Z I think you are right and that it is time to go there. I wrote him back last time so that I would have proof that I told him I didn't want to hear from him anymore. I just have to figure out where I need to go and what I have to do to see about getting one - perhaps legal services on campus would be able to help.

I think Z is right, too. You already told him you didn't want to hear from him and with his history plus the e-mail/letter, it shouldn't be a problem. I'm sorry that happened!

Unfortunatly I am away from campus already today but looking up legal services online right now and looks like they are there tomorrow too so I can stop in tomorrow to see what my options are. I already pay a legal services fee every semester, I may as well use it.

Aggie - I am sorry that you are going through this. Aside from legal services, check domestic violence groups in your area - they may have referrals (yes, I know you have a different issue, but they can be a resource).

Matt, I didn't even think to ask Heave but after you suggested it I did message him to get his advice.

Feels good to at least do something instead of sitting around hoping he won't contact me again.

i know that although he has hurt you and your family, you still have feeling deep down.. and thats what makes it so hard. even if you don't want ever see him again, he is a soft spot for you... and i know to hear the things he is saying must give you mixed feelings.

hang in there. everyone here has great advice. i am proud of you for taking control of the situation and empowering yourself.

corresponding with him is only going to make you more sick and upset.
