They lie! (and yes, sometimes I feel that the pigeons only shit on my head...while everyone watches, points and laughs)!

I dont know if these people have it so great as others perceive. I dont believe anyone has it so good, they just may be better at covering it up and making you think that they are perfect.

I agree with Sunshine. Who knows what goes on behind closed doors: could be abuse, neglect, hostility, etc. The charmed people may be living paycheck to paycheck--who knows?

It seems bad for us right now. I'm hopeful it will get better.

No one has a perfect life. Its just your perception that others are leading these happy non problematic lives. If you feel that life is not going smoothly than maybe you should pause and evaluate where you are in life and where you want to be. Do you see certain patterns being repeated? I truly believe that we learn the most about ourselves when we face difficulties. How you deal with them will affect your future. Good luck.

My best friend has an awesome husband, 2 great kids, a beautiful home, Husband makes good money, Never pays a bill late, etc. Then there's me, I don't have a pot to piss in, my husband left me and is now sleeping with a skank, I have bills coming out of my ass, and my home is going to foreclosure. I feel like I am under a permanent black cloud!

What we perceive as problems others don't. They just look at life with humor and enjoy every minute of it. Is not they don't have problems, they just don't care about them, don't fuss about them, don't pay attention in a negative way. Ask the happy people, and you will see, they have the same amount, but what comes to it is the glass half full versus the glass half empty.

I have at times.... Everyone has problems, there is not a person on this planet no matter what thier status in life is that doesn't have problems. Its just how people deal or approach these problems that make the diff. I have just had a let down which is similar to your situation heave, for the past two weeks I have been feeling like shit about it... But no more, Fock it (Sorry mary I love this word, tech its not a swear word but sounds like one briliant!!) Me being down and negative about it its going to make it any easier, so I chose to be positive about it. My attitude doesn't change anything about my situation currently but will have a significant change on the outcome... Hope things get better for you mate. ;)

Exactly what everyone said here, I agree with. Everyone has problems just like you, I and everyone here on DS that is willing to admit it. Who knows why some of us carry the burden more than others??? Cause were strong!

My stbx used to point out people who had it all and wish we "had it" too, but it was just her perception that they had it all. I was alway happy with what we had, but she always wanted more no matter what we had. Some people are able to be happy no matter where thay are.

Let me count my blessings:

My wife is gone
My house is gone
My job is probably gone
I am looking for a job in a bad economy
I will probably take a huge pay cut
I have to move back in with my parents for the second time this year.

I truely feel blessed.
