My ex mother in law would get my husband drunk and invite his ex girlfriend over and tell him it was acceptable. She would tell me I was not pretty enough and that I needed more make up. She would call my husband every night and he would stay outside talking about how bad I was for hours. When I would come out he would run away from me and go in the back yard. Then she would sometimes call me and tell me how bad I was as a wife. Not to mention that I was going to hell for being catholic. Just a hippocrit meddler. She had a lot to do with our divorce.

That was not cool of your MIL. Mine actually tried getting one of my coworkers who looked like a barbie doll to go out with my X brother in law. When I told her she was a total airhead, she even said, "that doesn't matter." How weird.

My in-laws actually like me and think my STBX is making a mistake! I've never had any problems with them and told them I'll keep in touch with them. Always got along fine.

Let's see.... the mother he had who is on her 4th marriage and didnt' even acknowledge my marriage to her son? I never even met her, and I was married to him for 10 fucking years! Then there is his dad who abandoned him when he was 2yo and I helped him find him & reunite with him 40 years later -- only so the dude could fleece us out of some money and abandon him again, lol! And I wonder why he didn't work out very well, lol? Of course, in my defense, I didn't know any of this in advance!

I almsot met his mom once -- she was all of 20 miles away -- but she said she didnt' want to see us cuz she thought her son was "showing off" that he had a piece of crap house that he actually owned with me, LMAO! I laugh now, cuz I showered him with my sympathy & love back then -- for what?

Although I dont and no one for that matter, gets along with my X's immediate family, I sure do miss his extended family. They still want me to stay in touch and his female cousin and I are staying good friends which erks him. as a matter of fact, she is taking me out this friday night!

my ex mother in law took me to court during our separation and it cost me 800 for a lawyer. we kicked her butt and it was a kodak moment watching her run out of court with a red face..her oldest daughter even wrote her a note last christmas saying that she never wanted to see or hear from her again because she always had been trying to destroy peoples lives and she was sick of it..i ran in to ex mother in laws brother at church the other day and he said he hasnt seen her in 5 years and that he cant stand her..her own brother........now to ex father in law.he molested my daughter several years ago and also my ex wifes sisters daughter..it took 4 people to stop me from going after with a baseball bat..wished to god i would have. my sheriff friend at church says there is no statute of limitations in ohio for reprting a molester..i just dont do it for my daughters sake, but i swear if my ex starts 1 more thing i may do it(she knows this)....they are both a piece of work

Well, after my ex husband hit me and yadee this and yadee that...My ex mother in law told me if he ever hit me again to hit his sorry a** back! But, never took that chance again, as I left him for good over two years ago...

My ex-MIL had to find a reason to explain to everyone why her son was living home again with out his wife. At the time we were separated and she could have cared less whether we stayed married or not. I came to town and was asked by my best friend "who is Ann". The only Ann I knew was the MIL. From there she went on to tell me how the MIL said our marriage ended because of my depression and how I simply wasn't a good wife. It didn't hurt so much that she's said these things. What really hurt was seeing the train of conversations these comments went through to get to my best friend who didn't know her. It's not a good feeling to know that your personal life is being discussed in a Wal-mart over a thousand miles away. On top of it all she didn't see a reason to have to explain how her son had a new son and how I wasn't the mother. She had never come to visit us and had no idea of how we lived. I was hurt because it was my hometown too and although it's not a big place it's not so small either. I was very lucky to have a best friend who knew me better than to believe everything she hears.

Hmm...well, my x mother in law, his step-mother, I like to call her the evil witch, yes, she told my stbx that I didn't want him helping them financially, and that I was trying to push him away from his REAL family.

When he finaly told her that he was thinking of leaving me after only 5 months of marriage, instead of telling him to really think it through, and try and work it out, she said, and I quote " If you want to leave her, I will stand by your side. Better to leave her now, then to live your life in misery. "

Then she said " Btw don't forget to take your snowboard from her parents house! It's expensive, don't let her have it."

I was like OOOOOMMMMMMMMMGGGG she's INSANE! His snowboard? WOOOOOOOOW

I've had decent inlaws most of my marriage and even now..

There were times when I think that they don't like me a bit (still feel that way somewhat about his parents. There were times where it was uncomfortable But never any bad things that I couldn't handle. Not like some of ya'll anyways.

OMG Norrin! I'm so sorry to hear that. While we were separated, my X took in a male roommate WITHOUT telling me anything, found out from the kids. I immediately called him and asked for info, he wanted to prove he had a right to a private life and refused to tell me anything about this guy. I said no more visits. He thought he could bully me and called to say he was on the way to pick them up that weekend. I called his superior officer and explained the sit who understood totally how I felt and agreed to tell him yes I have a right to know who lives in the house my kids will be visiting. I did not let my kids go to his house for over 6 months, the last month the roommate was gone, but I took no chances of him returning. I made it legal that he had to provide all information for me in order to get a background check on anyone living with him. Even with that, I still worry about the kids going over to his parents house bc I have seen his brother abuse his wife and her daughter before. I'm sure some will think I went to the extreme, but I think better safe than sorry. My X had lied too many times and I wasn't about to let him ruin my kids lives, ruining mine was enough.

Mines a different kind of worse. After we broke up, I had a one night stand with a girl to try and dull the pain and In the moring I went to breakfast with my one night stand and her father ( I know, weird). Her father talked to me longer, and showed more interest in who I was that my ex's father did in 4.5 years and I saw the man all the time. Pathetic excuse for a family, they were like that to eachother too. I wish he would have given me the time of day, her mother was like that too.
