I am the kind of guy if a women tells me that she has a problem I will think about it, try to figure out a solution, and then try to help her. Today all the woman really wants is for me to understand that they have a problem and sympathise with them.
I am not a cave man and I am not a new modern man either. I still believe in a lot of old fashioned morals and beliefs and some of them conflict with the newer society. If I sleep with someone it means something to me and it isn't a random hook up. I don't see how people can minimize that act.
This is definitely taking some getting use to just as this whole dating thing. If I am dating I am screening someone for a relationship when most people are just dating to hang out these days. This is a strange concept because I look life as constantly moving toward something.
What does that say about me?
No really, animals. Not men. Dogs, cats, birds.....
And I don't mean sitting around like a princess letting the guy do everything. When I'm in a relationship, I do plenty of stuff for my guy. (Too much, probably.)
But, whatever my problems have been in my past relationships (and there have been plenty), not letting the guy do stuff for me wasn't one of them.
My boyfriends have helped with with all sorts of stuff, including the chicken soup when I'm sick, and physically helping me to get to the bathroom when my back went out, and I accepted, gratefully so, every bit of it.
I don't know what to say about those women you're dating you refuse any help. I guess some women really are like that, but certainly not all.
I am more attracted to a woman who is somewhat independent, but doesn't mind a boost every now and then. One that likes affection and attention and loves to spend time with her man. I love to share. When I like someone I let them know it, plain and simple. I don't like complex games and all the other illusions people use during dating. I like real, honest, and intelligent women.
I will not even answer who *I* attract......it's a very scary list!
It's usually a one sided relationship with me doing all the giving!
It's funny, while my ex often gave me practical help and support, emotionally, I was the only one really doing any giving.
Ugh.
