Divorced for about a year and a half and I have a great life. I am currently in the middle of getting closure from my rebound guy. My time spent with him really did damage to me and I feel greatful to have the opportunity to fix what's been broken in me for so long. As far as dating, I've been on the porch for a while now; getting myself together but also afraid that all men are the same as the last. I took a chance and allowed my toe to touch the water and I quickly recoiled. My journey now begins with regaining my power from the person I once gave it to and moving on with my life. It seems the fellas like me I'm just don't know what they want from me.

I am no longer heartbroken. I am no where..that's why I'm here.

well he has been gone just over a month, I had him served with divorce papers two weeks ago, he was served with a petition for temporary relief last week. As for me I'm doing ok, still have bad days, but I am realizing more and more everyday that I am better off without him.

My x left at the beginning of September so almost 2 months separated if I could I would divorce his ass right now. I am so over him. Still angry about what he has done but dont want him back and am going to divorce him as soon as possible. I want to get on with the rest of my life.

Getting better as time goes by but still dealing with emotional swings..

Just started... filed in June, he left in July, first hearing was rushed and second hearing to cover in more detail set for next month. Sorting out my feelings and becoming un-emeshed emotionally. Standing strong because it's the right thing to do.

I'm in frigging limbo. I'm not divorced. Separated? what does that mean. He left in march and just never came home.
he put the divorce on hold, but is now having no contact.

I am in Limbo

So good to see that I am not the only one who feels like I'm in limbo. I have told him of my decision (5 mths ago now), but I don't have a job and we are still living together.

Hmmm, I am separated. I have been separated since October 5, 2008. Previous to that he moved out for two months when I was seven months pregnant. Then I let him come back without doing the real work, that was a mistake. I told him since he was the one that couldn't keep it in his pants he could file for divorce. He filed papers in February of this year. We still haven't hammered out the property agreement. I am over him, just not what this divorce has done to our children.

My ex moved out of the house first of April. We have had starts and stops on the no contact, the longest stint three months no contact during the summer. Late Sept he emails to see how I'm doing, we have some very meaningful discussions and emails about everything that happened between us. But in the end he decided that despite how much we love and miss each other, he cannot get past his pain while I'm around, so no contact it is again. I don't have any friends outside work, so I'm trying to get myself out of the house a bit more often and not think about him hanging out with the friends he made out here. Some days I feel good, others I'm a sobby mess.

Divorced August of 08, pretty much over the marriage long before that, was dating right away, found the love of my life, she broke up with me in October of 08, took awhile to get over her, started dating again in May 09, been on several dates, nothing ever comes of it because of my crazy schedule and the fact that I still have young children, stopped the dating for now, working on keeping my kids sane, happy and in a comfortable place.... got the double whammy of the economy attacking my business with a vengeance, working on that with full force.... My Ex has finally begun to realize that everything is not my fault and accepting her own fate better..... we will see how long that lasts....

Taking life day by day right now, just preparing myself for what's around the corner.

I kicked him out around 10/2007-he filed for divorce....I then gave him chance cafter chance-he blew every 1.
This Christmas it'll be a year since his last "chance" and..

I cannot seem to get over my fantasy of the Happy Ending.I keep thinking he'll come to his senses.

I am a hopeless romantic, I've seen every romantic movie made old and new.(just about)
I also useed to read historic romance.
