Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
There are always a few judgmental types about divorce, but most people know that divorce can't always be avoided and wasn't necessarily the choice of the person sitting in front of them (or was and was necessary). 50% of the population is in your shoes so it's nothing to beat yourself up about or feel ashamed of. It's something that is happening. The more you try to hide it the more curious they will be.
If you start telling them about your situation, I PROMISE YOU that you will be hounded for all the details of your situation and life. That was the way it worked in the one firm I worked in. If you say nothing, then you have nothing to be questioned about or to answer questions about. Your life isn't part of your job and if you let this bunch get ahold of details of your life, I think they will run with the details and it will be all over your workplace.
Scratch around your ring finger so it gets a little red much like you have an allergy to your ring. People develop allergies all at once.
If they come to your desk and ask you personal questions explain to them that you have to get work done. You owe no one an explanation, except if your boss comes to you and says you are acting strange and asks you directly. Then make sure you are in his office and then tell him, but explain that you do not want to go past him and want to get this confidential.
